If we lose to Vandy or Uk

Ok...this just in. Three buses have been filled with Band Wagoners....heading out of town as we speak. Been told 3 more are queuing now....chop-chop.

PS....let the driver know when you want to be picked up next year... RSVP: after 1 win, 2 wins, 3 wins, ect. We'll keep the light on for you.

At least that annual thank-God-it's-basketball-season feeling didn't set in until the tail end of our fb schedule this year.

No way we lose to Ky. If we don't go bowling, I'll take my SC win and Georgia bullying and call it a season. Next year my friend...

I hope you're right. I give us about a 30% chance at beating Vandy and 50% chance with KY. This is a really bad team that is beat down.

So, KBVol, I'm curious - do you think this team improved over the course of this season? Do you think Jones is getting the most out of his players?

I seen some improvement in the offense through the year in a few spots considering we didn't have the play makers we did last year. Defense wise they were playing ok at the beginning but have took a leave of absence for a few games so I don't see much improvement there. I will be glad when next years class gets here. I just hope they get to a bowl game this year we need the practice.

Personally, I think too many here think of the historical Vandy and not the current Vandy. Sadly, Franklin has built some talent and aggressiveness in those kids. Look at today and UGA to see it isn't Vandy of the 70's -80's - 90's, etc.

Franklin has coached Vandy up and looks to win every time,
Jones has coached his process rather than coach to win now

If we lose to Vandy, I half wish they would just forfeit the Ky game rather than half show up and potentially get embarrassed again

If we lose to Kentucky again, General Neyland will be paying Butch a visit.

Yeah, I hate losing these past few weeks and looking so horrible in the process. It's tough to see us getting better from here, but I can maybe buy the argument that this is a tough stretch and these are just growing pains enough to have hope for the future.

But, if they lose to Vanderbilt (losing at home to an in-state rival with less talent coming off a bye week with a bowl game on the line) then I can't possibly excuse it and I can't possibly imagine thinking Butch is the right guy for the job.

Most people would say that the talent is even or maybe Vandy has the edge. How did it come to be?

Well Oregon, you read my post. You responded to it, where I stated we're gonna lose the last 2 games versus a very average Vandy team and a terrible Kentucky team. What do you think?

I think our team was improving when they played very well vs Georgia and when they beat a good SCar team. I, like I'm sure most UT fans, thought we had really turned a corner, had built momentum and were "on our way". I was wrong. This team has regressed. We are not one bit better on defense now than we're last year under Sunseri and our offense has taken steps backwards as well. I have lost a lot of faith in Butch and where I had very little doubt that he was the right guy for the job earlier in the season, I now have little belief that he can get this turned around... the last 3 weeks of football have been atrocious.

At this point being a good recruiter is better than our last coach. I do think he should make some staff changes though.

Game's on the road. Not a chance.

What is wrong with you tonight KB? You are insane if you think Kentucky can hang with us. On the road or not. We have lost to ranked, good (at the time) teams, not scrubs, which ky is. They are a F'ng scrub.

100% agree. I think Butch can coach, and recruit. It's our lack of playmakers, and a few inferior coaches holding him back. Hopefully he isn't like Fulmer in the fact that he is loyal to a fault to his coaches under him. Time will tell.

Well, it looks like to me that our team has regressed significantly since the SCar game in terms of discipline, effort and execution and we've gotten absolutely boat raced in every game we've played on the road.

I'm trying to take the emotion out of it, which I admit I'm having a very hard time doing. But I just don't see anyway that anyone can comfortably say we're gonna go on the road this year and beat anybody...including the pathetic football program that is Kentucky. At this point I gotta see it to believe it. .

I mean, this could basically have been said in 2011 right after getting manhandled by Arkansas.

Or 1997 in the closing mins against Arkansas. These are different players and coaches for the most part. I expect two dominating wins to close out the season.

We might beat Vanderbilt, but we're not blowing them out.

Just...after we lost to Kentucky in 2011 I...I have a little bit of battered fan syndrome going on.

No way in h3ll we lose either of these games. CBJ has a bye week leading into Vandy and is something like 14-2 (not sure of the actual figure) off of bye weeks. VOLS win this game and lay a beat down on Kentucky.

Anyone who thinks we'll lose to Kentucky needs to have their brain scanned.
