Sincerely, what are our chances against Aubie? They are da#^ good. So then we have a 10-2 season going. Georgia, not playing the the SECC ends up 10-1 and ranked ahead of us therfore getting a better bowl game. That Sucks!

If we finish the end of the season with the same record as Georgia, we will be ranked ahead of them. Although I'm not sure about our chances with a second go at Auburn... It's possible. The Vols can still theoretically make a BCS game.

The best thing about Auburn is that we don't have to worry about them right now.
If we can come through the next 2 weeks unscathed, then I'll begin talking about Auburn again.

...and I wouldn't mark down 10-1 (or even 9-2) for GA quite yet since they still have to play Auburn and Florida. There's a long way to go for everybody.

I won't say definitively, but I think Auburn will beat Georgia. Georgia will be able to take it to Florida, though.

I'm not so sure. GA has lost 13 of the last 14 in the series and Richt has never beaten Florida. Florida is definitely in their heads.

thats been the case in the fla tenn games lately(except for this year) too and theres a lesson for coordinators in that especially is SEC brand football. You must attack! On defense...holding ground isnt good enough, offenses these days are too good..a defense must come across the line....tackles for loss...sacks...qb hits...blocked punts...etc. Penetration! (by the way thats the key to beating Auburn coach chavis) that and quality fundamental tackling...point is the raod teams attack more penetrate more on defense because of the home advantage, you gotta play that way every game home or not.

While there is a lot of football to be played and yes it is Bama week, think about this.

In 2001, UT embarrassed LSU at home only to lose to them in the SEC champ game. Very similar circumstances to this year.

This year and the last couple when UT's back is against the wall, they have played good ball. If UT and Auburn meet there in December, nobody will be giving UT a chance.

Last year around the water cooler there was alot of discussion regarding the 3-way tie for the East Division (Tennessee, Florida, and Georgia). Remember, at the time, the Vols were in consideration for a BCS bowl spot. The discussion at the water cooler split 2 ways... there were those of us who relished the opportunity for the Vols to play in the SEC Championship and have a shot at the SEC title.... better to have played and lost than to not have played at all...... then there were those who thought that if the Vols played in the SEC Championship game and lost, then they would go to a bad bowl... so they did not want the Vols to win the tiebreaker. Guess what... the Vols didn't get the shot at the SEC Championship and they went to a lower tiered bowl anyway.

I will always swing my vote towards a chance at a Championship. I believe an SEC Championship is a higher prize than a bowl spot (unless its the BCS Championship Bowl).

I want the chance to play them again. I would rather play for a title, than to go to a BCS bowl and not.

Hell yeah I'd take a shot at SEC Champ over any bowl (except the big 1, but to get there we would have to win the conference anyway) bring on the tiggrs, warchickens, plainsmen whatever they r!

If we play Auburn again, there will be a different outcome! I want a SEC championship..........BAD! If we win the SEC, that will shut everyone up.
