If we're lucky, this will take some heat off of us.

Also the little issue of USF HC Jim Leavitt reportedly choking a player and hitting him in the face twice. A walk-on, no less.

Very interesting that it is only a secondary violation. And people want to crucify UT for girls driving to SC on their own dime... sigh.

Much like the UT situation, nothing to see here. Plus, it was self-reported and happened more than three months ago. Doesn't mean some hackjob journalist that makes mountains out of molehills on the side won't take that story and run with it.

Kiffin is in the dog house and will be for another year. Can't wait until 2011 SEC championship game and they are rehashing this years secondary violations as if they are major. Like the guy from SI said yesterday on Basilio, "He just makes it so easy". He is an easy target because he talks so much so people come after him. If he said nothing else for the next year and nothing else happened, CBS would replay the Florida comments before the game next year. We have to live with that. I am just glad we have a coach who has some guts and is willing to speak his mind.

LSU has to be paying players. Would anyone really want to go play for Les Brains? I mean come on.

I'd agree. A few misdemeanors (underage consumption, and providing alcohol to minors) is not as big a deal to the NCAA as some girls flirting with recruits.

Sab, can you shed some light on any of this for those of us who are somewhat behind on the details?
