In the history of sports what would it be?

I would go to game 3 of the 1932 World Series to see if Mr. Ruth called his shot.

Cool question. But don't think I can pick one.

US win over Russia in 1980 olympic semifinals.
1985 Sugar Bowl UT over Miami
1973 Secretariat win in KY Derby

Would be a few.

The 1999 Fiesta Bowl. Oh, wait... I DID go to that game:)

if? you think it was staged?

There is a lot of speculation that Ruth was pointing at some of the Cubs players, as there was a lot of jawing going on between the teams, and the fact that he hit a home run in the general direction of his pointing was coincidence, and not really a "called shot."

When was the first Alabama/Tennessee game? I guess that's where I would start. I'm pretty sure we kicked your tails, too.

That would have been incredible to be at.

Thank you, that was such a dumb question I wasn't even going to respond!

The three best UT games I have been to were Fla. and Ark. in '97 and for basketball beating Fla. at TBA in '05/'06 and Kentucky this year.

This is a great question.

Possibilities:

- Watching Wilt Chamberlain score 100
- the British and German troops playing soccer during a temporary truce on Christmas Day in World War One
- Georgia Tech 222, Cumberland 0
- 1967 NFL championship game (the Ice Bowl)
- Torvill and Dean ice dancing gold
(just kidding)
- final game of the 1972 Canada/USSR hockey series

The Heidi game
The Colts/Bucs game where Colts came back from a 24 point deficit with less than 4:00 to go (about 4 years ago)
Any game with the All Blacks and the Haka dance

1901 was the 1st game and you didn't kick anybody's tail...the game ended in a 6 to 6 tie...with the crowd of about 2,000 fans on the field fighting at the end. It,s been a great rivalry ever since.

Your lesson for the day.....no charge..:p

Stat boy: I suppose you meant '98 UF and Arkansas. You're a lucky man to have been to those games.

the best fist pump in the history of sports, give the Dodgers an A+ for scouting, they knew on a full count to a lefty Eckersley would come with a backdoor slider...."In a year that has been so improbable, THE IMPOSSIBLE HAS HAPPENED!"

but honestly, it would be game 7, 2004 ALCS, NYPD Riot police on the field, as the only people left in the stands, Fenway Faithful who paid the money and made the trip, chanted "IN YOUR HOUSE!!!!" over and over....I cried after this one, along with my buddies who were over watching....what made the night complete, though, was my grandfather calling me after the game, and in his heavy Maine accent, quoting Pedro Martinez' famous "Wake up the damn Bambino, I'll drill him in the ass"
