If you knew Saban would retire after winning the NC...

Would you cheer for Bama to win if it meant Saban retiring?

Would you cheer for Bama? Winning #8 would keep his lead as most all time, and some have said he might hang it up. All theoretical of course. I personally think he will JoePa it and coach until he is 95.

Bear Bryant won 6 at Bama. Saban has won 6 at Bama im pretty sure he wants to break that tie with Bear and win one more. But I think he will coach till he’s 75 at least.

I want his team to experience a sharp decline after Tennessee beats him then retire at the end of the season.

He’s desperate to win another one asap. His window of opportunity in the NIL is limiting his chances now that he isn’t the only one paying players. Alumni and boosters at other top schools have deeper pockets than Bama and no recruits will want to go to a dump like Tuscaloosa with extra financial benefits.

Yeah, he knows with TX and OK entering the SEC, and divisions going away, his automatic shot at the championship is gone. Everything becomes harder next year. He would be smart to ride off into the sunset after this year if he wins it all.

You don't play them every year either.
They don't even play Georgia at home ever. I hate that. I need Georgia to experience some Swamp Voodoo. I'm disappointed that UGA - UF will still continue to be in Jax. 2024 would have been a good time to make that change.

If I may ask, since you're a FL fan who wants Saban to keep coaching, what kind of masochistic business are you in?

I’m in the business of appreciating greatness when I see it, and giving it its proper respect.

Hoping Saban falls off or quits, only to be disappointed year in and year out, over and over again…that sounds more like the business of a masochist.

Got it. He's the GOAT, but that's not in question anymore so he can retire to one of his mansions any time IMO.

Someone here said he's done after this year. Maybe if he wins it all, he'll have had enough. 🤞
