You would think he's thinking of retirement. Can't win crap at USCe and I'm not sure he wants to start over somewhere else.

He is totally old school. Heard him say some of the same phrases that Bear Bryant would say after a loss.

I haven't seen him this frustrated In a long time. Makes me think our D really had him frustrated and really has turned a corner!

It sounds like he placed every ouce of blame on everyone, leaving none for himself. There were some pretty crappy decisions made out there. He caught himself throwing Shaw under the bus for his running. Dude is just a chode. I'd never let my kid go there and play for someone like that.

"Mike did okay....went the wrong way a couple of times but not bad". Spurrier is one funny dude.

No, that's a coach who has checked out. That was terrible PR for their program.

I love to hate Spurrier. He's king of the zingers. But his media appearances have been going down hill. He has a hard time looking straight ahead at the cameras. Obviously he wanted to be anywhere but there, but he should rep their program better.

I think this is SS's last year at USC.

i have mad respect for spurrier. but i do think tennessee was the better team on saturday and it wasn't just a fluke. I do agree though that had Carolina gone for it in true HBC fashion they probably would have converted... still think he was outcoached though it seemed to me that someone talked him down and said not to go for it when he wanted to do it. Hats off to Jones/Janecek for switching whatever he switched to make them punt. it really was a chess game and we won---good news for the vols in the future!

now everyone start imagining a post game press conference where saban has just lost to tennessee. good lord.
