Has anybody seen our leaders Mr. Golden & Mr. Tatum? Them two never fail to amaze me. I would have benched them in the first 5 fives and they would have never seen the floor again. I need to release some angry!!!!:mad: can you tell!!! So much for senior leadership

Tatum has run his course yes. However, what can Golden do if no one gets separation from their defender. If you have guards on the wing that can't create, then an educated team can bog down on the post and cut the penetration lanes for Golden. Simple as that. When we get a guard that can create a shot, watch out for golden.

*Just my opinion* I think that we are going to see a change very soon in the starting lineup again.

Are we going to make the tourney this year? No, its obvious that golden is a better scorer, but being a point guard is limiting his numbers. Looking at the last 5 or 6 games he scores 2 to 4 in half the games (KY, VANDY, UCONN) and then 12+ in the others. See a theme (better point guards on him)? At least with Wes maybe we can ready him for next season. I'm not saying he's better than golden, but golden could shine as a scorer. Who knows going into next season Wes may have it down. If so, we have a decent point guard and a good shooting guard in golden.

estuvol13 please stop defending Golden! you sound like an idiot! It started on our second possession when Golden thought he was John Stockton and threw a half court pass off the back board! Once again I watch a game where Golden didnt give 100% effort. The streak continues. Somebody please tell me why Golden makes me want to throw up every single time I watch him play!!!! Very frustrating!

There is no way to defend Golden this game. You just can't.

Did you notice that when they played 3 freshman with two experienced guys, they played better defensively, were quicker, and wasted less motion? To me it is clear the older guys have not let go of the old ways. When Washpun played PG and Trae at SG it all flowed better. Yes, Wes is not there yet. But the only way he can get there is to let him play more minutes. Folks this team is not going anywhere in the post season barring a miracle. I would rather see the young guys like Jarnell, Yemi, Josh, and Wes get a lot of minutes. Let Trae heal his ankle. Then take their chances in the SEC tourney with a more experienced group.

My thoughts exactly. Wes actually drove down into the lane several times. About half were successful but at least he attempts. Golden needs to do more of this to open up other shots.

are you aware of goldens output against some of the other top teams we have plyaed?

its alot easier to run an offense when your going against a defense that is up 25 with 4 minutes left. vanerbilt was not playing nearly as tough of d as they had been the majority of the game.

I agree, there is no possible way you can defend a player who short arms 8 floaters in the lane. All I was trying to get across was that if you have wings that don't rotate and move in a motion offense, then what is a point guard to do? No movement equals defenders playing more toward the lane. That cuts off the post players and makes them work from the outside.

So stay with Golden the rest of the year. See no improvement in point guard play and have that ? going into next season? I'm not a golden hater. He can be a great basketball player. I doubt he will ever be the point guard TN needs.

Did you not just watch that game? I guess not, so:

sorry, but we just got our butts handed to us.

Why should we go out, and at least not try something new? Why gives you the observation that we would lose every game with that lineup? 4 of the players are already starters, and it's not like tatum will stay in the game long anyway.

1. This gives you a true point, and gives him experience for next year.
2. This moves the only player on our team that can make his own shot to a position where he can do that. Golden would be best served as a wing.
3. Tatum and Richardson are interchangeable. Tatum gives you the best chance to score averaging close to 10ppg.
4. Stokes and Maymon are locks.

How do we lose every game?

Point 1 to me is the most important going into next season. Even if golden starts at point guard next season again Wes has got to have some experience or we will be in the same situation next year

Either way i hope neither Wes or Golden are point guards next season. Hopefully we sign a good point guard and come back to these threads and laugh at ourselves.
