I was never in favor of letting McBee eat a scholarship for a few years, but I'll give him credit for his effort. I still have big reservations about him doing much against SEC material, but he has brought great hustle and hard work. I'm not going to jump onto his bandwagon just yet, but I hope some of his teammates take notice.

Agreed. He's obviously got serious limitations, but he certainly gives his all for Tennessee. If he continues to gain confidence with his shot, he'll be a solid role player for us for 3 more years to come.

Although I believe he will be a great liability against anyone with any talent, I can rest assured knowing he will outwork all of the others on this team exponentially.

Just hopes it rubs off on some of the others.

His attitude vs. all others on the team was on display for all to see last night. I'm with you Lofton43 - I really do hope his hustle rubs off on the team. We actually got to see UT players walking toward loose balls last night... it was pathetic. McBee hustled all night long.

I hope he keeps that up and continues to work on his shot.

He is the fulfillment of the promise of Jordan Howell that never materialized. He is surprisingly not a defensive liability because he works hard at it. He is not as athletic as Chris L but I think he cares more about playing solid D. If he can tire an opposing player by running around to get open and being a good enough shooter that he must be covered he can really help our team.

Don't kid yourself. He can guard teams like we played last night.

I'll take 5 McBee's that work hard and want to play for TENNESSEE, than a bunch of talented players who give half ass attempts.

Walkon true freshman!!!!! Any critisizm of him is way off base. He is Dane Bradshaw with a better shot and I repaeat a walkon true freshman. If he earns a ride and doesn't produce fair game, but while he is paying for school and working hard you internet coaches need to back the F--- off!!!!! GO VOLS!!!

McBee will work in the long run if the other guys on the floor hold up their end of the deal and actually try to play defense. His role is what Steve Kerr had on those Bulls teams in the 90s - he's a liability on defense but he'll be able to be a role player who can drill the outside shot when they focus on everyone else. Well, I guess everyone else has to do their part on offense as well.

I think you should tell us how you really feel :) but I agree 100%! Heart and hustle will take McBee a long way and if he can get the rest of the team to follow his example, who knows what this team is capable of.

It's a shame BP's rotation took McBee out of the game when he was hot, if you noticed when he came back in he couldn't buy a bucket.

I try to complement the guy and you do this. Part of the reason his name will get old is because of posters like you glorifying his every move just because he's a local.

I have to agree with that - last night when CBP put McBee back in late in the game it was stated behind me "NOW we have a REAL 3-pt shooter in the game"...
