Coach Brett B is trying to building a 1990s style 3 yards and a cloud of defense with a dominate defense team. The same approach Pruitt tried here and the same one CBB tried at Arkansas (with some level of success).

I bring it up because he’s pulled off some nice upsets this season and because I’ve been curious for awhile now. Given the trend to get faster on defense, can a team outperform by going against the trend?

You need a big offensive line and in the SEC you need 4 star and 5 stars on that line

It’ll be interesting to see who the first coach is to win big again using that style.
Isnt that what Georgia is doing? Only really their offense is great is because they have superstars all over the place.

I think there’s something to that but I’m not sure they’re actually trying to build to do that. If Pickens was healthy I think they’d be a lot different team. I could be wrong

Stetson just doesnt wow like a modern offense needs imo. Seems like their big plays are 15 yards passes with 30 yards YAC.

Georgia is relying on their talent. Like Kiffin, Kirby is a product of what he has in front of him. When you have future NFL standouts at more positions than your opponent, coaching is a very easy profession. But to his credit, he brought them there.
