Florida's win just made it that much more difficult for UT to win the East.

UT would have had to win out anyway, which wasn't going to happen. Any realistic shot UT had at the east ended last week at Athens.

only if LSU had a QB smh

It's not just a QB problem. I feel like Mett has the talent to take a team to the NCG especially with LSU's D. This is only Mettt's 2nd SEC start.

I loved how LSU was playing on O the first 7 games of the year last year until the 1st Bama game, since then it's been all down hill. As far as I am concern LSU has a top 1 or 2 D in the country even with all the injuries, suspensions, early drafts, transfers, etc.

The problems for the O:
1.) Beat up, missing personnel... OL
2.) No top WRs, all of them are slot WRs that don't seem to be able to catch or hold onto the ball
3.) No real balance in the previous games to where you could improve against weaker opposition
4.) Still way too many penalties
5.) Very few RB screens to stop the rush, last night was the first time I saw them do it and it gained 20 yards.
6.) Bad playcalling... no real gameplan
7.) QB will basically no SEC experience
8.) No ability to adjust

The one problem I saw from the D is a lack of a spark... for two years Mathieu would make the special plays on D and special teams to get LSU going... none of that.

Minter played a great game, very happy with his progress. All the young D players are playing very well, quite a few freshman LBs got burned a few times in the second half on some nice formation adjustments by UF but overall the D played real well.

LSU will lose more games, I think the next couple of games is on showing whether Mett is going to be the guy, I mean he is already a Junior and at some point you might as well try and develop Rivers.

I had a feel it was coming this game and it did, I am not surprised. LSU is beatup and just not playing well on O, I would expect more loses.

Agreed.

I don't think any reasonable person here should be concerned with that at this point.

Might as well hope to at least keep the possibility open until it is actually closed, though.

I know that if we are to have any hope of winning the SEC East, we must not only win out but that Florida, Georgia, and SC must have at least two SEC losses each.

And, yes, I am.

I get the long shot part and odds decreasing by the minute. I follow ur posts in the political forum. You are one smart dude with some interesting perspectives. Just sayin...

yeah its crazy how many injuries are pilling up down in BR...if i'm LES im bringing in some freshman WR or someone in the passing game cause I agree you'll do have a lot of slot guys playing on the outside

What about the other guy thats a RS freshman or true freshman qb that I hear is a runner and thrower maybe he is the one that can give the offense a spark...cause that defense cannot do it all...I mean they can but you don't want to have to do it all year
