This time last year we were reeling after the Kentucky loss and coaches were jumping ship right and left. Volnation was in a true state of panic, and, unfortunately the negavols turned out to be right as 2012 was a disasterous season.

Now we've hired a new coach with a history of winning who appears to be energetic and able to coach the players to improve. As he starts hiring (or retaining) assistant coaches, we will get good news every day. We will even get good news in the recruiting arena, imo.

Sure, it isn't the Chucky Circus we all wanted, but from where I sit, things are looking up and exciting days are ahead.

That is all, go back to your bickering.

Couldn't agree more OP. Tired of people picking at Coach Butch looking for reasons he'll fail. I am in 100% support of this guy, his staff, and players. It's a great time to be a Tennessee Vol and I am going to enjoy this and not look for reasons to be miserable.

O.k., I'll start.
I for one didn't want Chucky. Of the two I would rather have the "Butcher Vols".
GO BUTCHER VOLS!

I'm fairly optimistic about the man himself but no person can do this alone. I'd like to see them bring in some top notch assistants with SEC, and preferably UT ties.

He's a proven winner and that's a mindset that can be taught to these current players. I think Doolander and Co. had a loser attitude since the Florida game and that sort of attitude spreads faster than a brush fire.

I am excited also. I feel better about UT football than I have in about ten years. Somehow, Hart managed to fall into a lucky hire.

Now priority one...we need to retire Jimmy Butt Cheek in 2013.

Here he is eating boogers yesterday...

Jon Gruden and the bs around him have done more harm to UT football than he ever will do good.

Im trying to get excited about UT Football again. All it takes is a quick look at this forum to drown any excitement though. It sucks.

Jones wasnt my ideal choice but im behind him 100%.

Agree York. You have perspective. Many on here don't.

A new era is coming, and I look forward to seeing what will happen. If I wanted to whine about if for the next year, I would have some company. I just can't look at things that way. I think some people just have to have that cloud or be in a rut about something all the time. Like an addiction.
