Dee Liner was one of the five star recruits. He will play his first snaps this week, thankfully now and not in two weeks.

How many five star players will Tennessee start this week? Just curious.

Just curious... you do know that you don't get extra points for recruiting stars in real games, right?

I doubt we'll have to worry about that, but yeah, I'll come back around. I try to keep up to date on the orange.

I think the talent disparity is just too great right now, and that's my point. A fan would have to be delusional at best to not see the obvious difference in the players for these two teams.

I remember how it was for Bama during the Shula years (most recently). It's hard to win with "project" players. With Butch just coming in as well, he's not able to field quality and depth at every position. Things happen in the SEC - injuries, suspensions- and you have to be able to go deep.

So no guess on how many five stars ut will field?

No one can say we have had a CREME-PUFF schedule so this team has surely been tested. When you're thrown into the fire, you get purified. I am hoping this schedule has made them tougher and they will come out fighting like junk-yard dogs! Bring on the Crimson Slide, bring on the MO Tigers, Auburn etc. We always EXPECT to WIN but if we lose, we will have learned something that will help us the next time. GO VOLS!!!

Doesn't matter how many stars a player has it's how an individual performs during game time. Walk-ons have outperformed starred recruits.
