I'm hearing that Gruden could be taking over ND soon

Supposedly Charlie Weis is going to be fired after NLOI day, and Gruden is going to be the successor. Don't know how credible it is, but its going around all over.

I dont see that happeing. That would look terrible for ND and I dont see Gruden being too great of a college coach anyways because the biggest problems he had in TB were with the development of younger players

You can believe its being discussed. Don't know if it will happen but it is out there. The mood in South Bend yesterday was described to me as wierd....take it for what its worth.

Why would Gruden even think about leaving the Bucs to become the head coach at Notre Dame?

I heard Fulmer was going to the Colts (and taking Chavis with him).

Makes just as much sense as Gruden going to ND (none.)

Gruden at South Bend makes way more sense....Unless you mean they were burning goats at the alter of his holiness....

People will slurp up any rumor that picks up a little steam. Be rational for a second -- why would Tampa fire Gruden, only to replace him with Morris?

I'll believe that rumor when pigs fly and Morris takes the field next year as Tampa's head coach.

Assuming that Gruden does in fact leave the Buccaneers...

I'd hate for the guy to go to Notre Dame. I like him and all, but I don't know that I could if he went there.
