I have this friend who ....

Hopefully it is for a nephew, but you would think it could be handled with a phone call or email. Players getting autographs from other players on the field after a game just seems odd to me. But like I said, maybe it's just me looking for another reason to dislike the Cowboys.

Choice grew up outside of Atlanta. Vick was probably his hero.

I see no problem with it.

I'm sure NFL players request autographs all the time for relatives or whatever. Handing the guy a pen and a glove on the field after the game just seems strange.

Let me ask this: Has anyone seen this happen before? Does it happen often? Because I'm sure there are many young NFL players who may find themselves playing against someone they grew up idolizing.

Merrill Hoge said today that after his team played the Bears he went over and got Walter Payton's autograph.

It's crap like this that makes it hard to embrace Cowboy fans.

I'm fine with it. These guys are pros. During the game, they're the enemy, but once the final whistle gets blown, they can be friends.

You are well on your way to losing your "True Fan" card with statements like that.

Did anyone else see "Around the Horn" today where Woody Paige said that players get autographs from each other all the time and have rooms of stuff with autographed jerseys and gloves and helmets? The other guys tore him apart for that statement. A few hours later on "Monday Night Countdown" Keyshawn Johnson and Chris Carter admitted to asking other players for autographs and having all kinds of autographed memorabilia from guys they played against. I kinda hope Woody saw that so he can rub that in their face tomorrow.
