What does the dollars mean under the posts?

I'm new too, and I wonder if there is a link anywhere that you can click to "Mark all threads as read", or do you have to click on each thread to mark it?

Click on the message board button and scroll down to the bottom. Under the board statistics, in the bottom right corner, you will see mark all posts as read...
