I think Kevin Harvick has an excellent shot to win the title. He's ran strong the past 2 months and his team runs extremely well at a majority of the chase tracks. If he can find victory lane at Loudon, I think he can reel off 2 or 3 more in the chase. Johnson's still the man to beat, but both Harvick and Denny Hamlin stick out to me as contenders that should not be taken lightly.

Nothing wrong with pulling for your favorite. I would give Harvick a better chance than Hamlin. Denny's comments about his team will not help him. My darkhorse pick is Jeff Burton.

why would this make you a homer , you a harvick fan:dunno:

Yes, I just have a really good feeling that if Harvick is able to get out of the gates well and if he can win a race early then he has a good shot. I feel that once he wins the first race that team will break out with a couple of more. I know that's some big "if's" but I believe he will surprise.

if Jr. can't win, (and it looks like he's a long shot) i would love to see burton win one.

I don't see Dale Jr. as a long shot, but as a top 5 prospect along with Busch, Johnson, Edwards & Gordon. I see Stewart, Burton, Harvick as possibles and the rest as long shots.

Jeff doesn't compete for wins enough. He will get top 15's though, he would have to have 10 straight finishes of 15th or better to just have his name in contention.

I'll never bet against Stewart, but I'm not sure if his team cares anymore. Hopefully now that the chase has started they'll get re energized.

As a Matt Kenseth fan,I hope he wins the title. He made the Chase by the skin of his teeth though so winning the title is a longshot at best for Kenseth. Not turning tail and running out on my driver, just being realistic. Biffle and Edwards are my next choices.

The drivers without are only 80 points behind Busch If JR. takes him out again at Louden then they are all in the ballgame again!:spank: I'm a Stewart fan but I don't have a problem with most of the chasers. Stewart seems to strive when faced with adversity hopefully he will run well. This will probably be his last realistic chance for a couple of years.:crossfingers: Over the last 4 chases the winner has averaged about 1500 points, thats about an avg. finish of 6th or 7th with leading a few laps. It just depends who gets hot.
