It blows my mind at how many on this board think Mizzou is a crappy team. They are no Bama or Oregon but they got a blazing fast D and Their Receivers are fast and REALLY tall. Hell their Oline looked pretty impressive too.

Mizzou is a good team and I wouldn't be shocked one bit if they make it to Atlanta 11-1

They are going to Atlanta. Hold 2 game lead over Georgia with 3 to play.

USCe would be their biggest threat right now.

Win and they are in. Missouri holds their own destiny.

I'm very disappointed. Heck, we had many in here talking about shedding real tears after Carolina with the general thought being we had finally turned a corner of sorts.

I thought that myself. I didn't expect to beat bama but I didn't expect 45-10 and I sure as heck didn't expect 31-3 to Mizzou.

Rumors of UT's imminent return to SEC relevance has been greatly exaggerated.

Next year? I hope; but THIS YEAR ?

Is a win vs Vandy looking real good now? Even Kentucky?

I don't know what to make of this team, but 13 pt's in two games? Not good...especially with this seasoned, veteran and stout (supposedly) o-line I keep hearing about.

So...if we don't have the talent, then Carolina was more of a fluke.

IF we HAVE the talent and that's why we beat Carolina...then these blowouts losses to Bama and Mizzou are inexcusable.

It can't be both.

What Teams have Bama played this year that they didnt Blow Out? Mizzou handled Georgia and Florida pretty easy too as I recall

If it is indeed as simple as saying "we play better at home" then it's saying we DO have the talent.

A talentless team doesn't almost beat GA and beat SC...no matter what field they play on.

There's other issues...obviously that need to be figured out and it's fair to question the coaching when a team is talented enuff team to play well vs GA and SC and gets absolutely hammered by Oregon, Bama and Mizzou.

Why are they so horrible on the road?

If these games were at home it would've been different?

Not saying to blame CBJ, but who do we blame for playing so horrible on the road then and looking so flat and defeated from the get go?

This comes back to depth and players that are no longer with the team. I would say to you to take a look at the players that were recruited by Dooley and see how many of them are still on the team. I would also look at where the really good players that we used to have ie the Janzen Jackson, David Oku, Brice Brown from the 2009 team are. They were gone off the team which caused more issues. Add that to the fact that players like Barrett Jones and Von Bell go to other schools and you can see the problem. Was that display unacceptable? Yes! Will this coach get it fixed? Maybe not this year, but the goal is to get into a bowl and get the 2014 class in. Most of them are EEs as well and they will be learning the play book for day 1 and probably contributing from day 1. I like the fact that we are signing 30 players this year and possibly 30 next year as well if need be to cover depth issues and get speed. That will help. Right now we can't compete with good teams in their house and until we learn how to win again, we won't. The best thing we can have happen is going to happen this year. Dooley players are going to graduate and new players are going to fill their spots. Until then its a waiting game and hoping we can pull off another 2 wins.

I agree. The eternal optimists on this board loved Kiffin and Dooley also. What does that tell you? Anybody with a pulse could coach this team. The outcome would be the same.
