Butch Jones is the real deal! This guy lives, breath's, eats football! If one didn't know better, one would think he has been a Vol since his birth. This guy has bought in like no one I have ever seen! His attitude is contagious!

I was a little skeptical at first, but the more I see the better I feel. As a matter of fact this is the best I have felt about UT Football in a very long time.

This just feels different and I mean that in a good way.

Your gonna get flammed by alot of left over grudenites, but I agree with you. They'll be here in a few years swearing they loved him from the start, when only a few are really believing in him.

Probably so, but you gotta take them with a grain of salt because if they really understood college football they would understand why Gruden might not have been the best choice.

Help me out here guys. Its been tough to keep up with CBJ. just from general dejection from the season and coach search. What leads you to think these things

I agree the more I see and hear the more excited I get. I know it has been said, but he reminds me of a football version of Bruce Pearl.

The real evidence of a good coach is one who can take average talent and beat excellent talent. Lets face facts, lots of coaches could take Alabama's talent and win.

I just feel like this guy has the ability to get the most out of his players. Good coach's get the most out of his best players, great coach's get the most out of all of his players. I just think he has the ability to turn those two and three star guys into four and five star guys. His attitude, the belief in his system and his ability to get the players to believe in it. I think he really believes that UT is the best program in the country and he projects that to his players. That attitude can and will push those players to practice and play to those standards. Just my opinion and I base that on his past experience and what he has said and done since he has been here.

Once bitten, twice shy. This reminds me of when Dooley was hired. I'll wait till I see how he recruits and the team performs before I make a decision. Nothing wrong with those that want to give him the benefit of the doubt. Nothing wrong with being a little skeptical either.

Maybe not for you but many on here and elsewhere were stating how great he was gonna be. Saban jr. Was used frequently and the worry was he would bolt to GA. How LSU wished they had him. On and on. I bought in too. Idk if it was because we felt jilted by Kiffin and he was there to pick up the pieces or what. The optimism was flowing like the TN river.

"Phillip,Lane,Derek or BUTCH".......Which one sounds like a "mean ass football player/coach".....This guy will do well.....Give him a chance.....Damn shame Phil Fulmer didn't have the energy that Jones has.....

He has the same type of message that Lane brought which endears us to him. I believe Butch means what he says, but hell I believed Lane also. I think its refreshing after the year zero, Germans, and shower guy we just fired. Im optimistic.
