just finished the first half. i had forgotten how sloppy we played and still had the lead. FSU had an amazing defense.

but the difference had to be the crowd. FSU kept getting delay of game penalties b/c of the crowd being so loud. nothing but orange in tempe that night.


gotta go watch the rest of the game. my bowl game for the year.

I have the DVD of it as well. Been a while since I have watched it, but I always enjoy it. One thing I will always remember about that game is that wicked hit Eric Westmoreland put on that guy. I don't remember who he was, but Eric sure waylayed him!

westmoreland hit FSU's qb marcus outzen (who had a horrible game) on the sideline and almost decapitated him. the game draws out alot. two great defenses. i just saw THE CATCH. what a pass. tee had an amazing deep ball

Hopefully the big orange will present us with a bowl game of like manner next year Checkerboard.

You know the only thing I hated about the ABC Broadcast of the game was that they spent most of the fouth quarter retiring Keith Jackson. I kept thinking "shut up about KJ retiring, we got a damn game going on here"!!

and he didnt even friggin retire. he took away some of ut's performance for nothing. john ward was the real announcer in that game. jackson is a farce.

CBC, does that DVD have Ward doing the broadcast? I may call the UT bookstore/suvonier shop and order me one. It may be 47 years before we win another NC as it was from 51 to 98.

i would pay big for that. his last game. i bet his call on THE CATCH was classic goosebump stuff.

You would think with all the tech freaks around someone would have dubbed the vol-network over the video. Guess it violates some copywrite law, sadly.

Watch how as Tee goes back, his back foot slips backwards. Pretty amazing that he could still step through that pass. Peerless fought the guy off and made a great catch.

I also like to watch Al Wilson on every defensive play - it's friggin' amazing how if he's not in on the play, he's coming in a big hurry :rock: He's one of the most tenacious players I've ever seen.

He's a blast to watch any time you can. One of my favorite during the NC Game is FSU im thinking to kick a field goal, maybe an extra point (havent watched it this year, i do need that fix) but Big Al creeps up just abit towards the LOS and just flintches like he's saying BOO! The FSU down lineman comes out of his stance hands up and going backwards. I know it must have been loud but its Tempe not Neyland, that boy didnt want anything to do with Al..I get a kick out of it every time i watch that DVD.

I agree CBC, KJ couldnt quit rambling on about his career....These days its easier to hear all that garb, i know during the live telecast i never heard squat he said. We sealed the deal, but until the gun sounded i was on pins and needles. The first time i watched my DVD, i was like what the he11 i dont remember all this KJ bs.
A John Ward audio of the game would be Peerless, i mean Price'less.. :thumbsup:

Yep, that's the bad part. They used our game to make over jackson like he's some kind of god or something, and he didn't even go anywhere :banghead: I would love to have the game with John Ward's call dubbed over the game. I'm sure they could do it if they wanted to. They've done it with other games.

Got it too. Love to watch it when I and family get together to relive the good ole memories. Was actually overseas working at the time. Had to watch the game at 2 in the morning and got done at about 6:30. What a day. Will have to watch it today. Definately a feel good DVD.

Where did you find it? I'd love to have a copy with John calling the game. I have the original broadcast that I taped the day of the game with Jackson and Greise.

I'm watching the Cops marathon on FX. I love it when they have already put the beatdown on someone and then they yell "Stop Resisting Arrest" as they dig a knee into someone's back who is obviously unable to put up a struggle. Bad Boys Bad Boys...

I don't really look at it that way. I kind of enjoy watching the crooks whine about how tight the cuffs are and how their leg, arm, shoulder, etc. hurst. I think 99% of what arrestees say is BS anyway.

What sucks is having to babysit them after you spray them with OC. You talk about whiney....good lord, you would think they got shot or something.
