I don't believe they should be. They are not elected to vote exactly as their constituents want them to vote. When they are elected, the voters give to them the ability to vote their will. If you don't like it, then run for office and win.Unless they see a stoppage in campaign contributions and bad poll numbers, most aren't really concerned with what their constituents are thinking.
