I propose that this is just another attempt by CNN it put out ANYTHING that could be considered negative to JM.

Not exactly..this is called politics in the final weeks of a presidential election. Stupid crap starts being thrown out as meaningful at the last minute. We have 150,000 wardrobes, 911 calls, B's scratched/carved into the face of unfortunate victims, grandmother conspiracies, etc.

I love the final day or two of an election cycle (especially election night), but I hate the final weeks. I've been avoiding most discussions on here for a week now for the same reason....

no i find it amusing that everytime onevolfan posts something political that someone shoots it down, feel bad for onevolfan tho. we disagree in politics but onevolfan seems like a good person

Don't get me wrong..I'm not pissed or anything. I'm around to discuss things that matter...I just don't have much to say in the back and forth he said/she said, evil vs good craziness that is belched out during the weeks preceding the election. Some people enjoy that - and I'm not telling them to stop - but I don't, so I haven't been all that involved as of late.

If you want to strike up a Star Wars discussion (are we talking Darth Vader or Ronnie Reagan Star Wars?), I'm probably game for that. :)

Ghee, doesn't someone try to shoot everything down that someone posts on here that isn't a republican, or that they don't agree with? And vice versa as far as that goes. :crazy:

It was my intention that my reply (quoted above) be read applying the plural form of the word "you", indicating that the opinions of many of "you" stand to appear more coherent when not paled by the light of my posts. However, your misguided response to my post does remind me that you stand to benefit more than most from my absence.

Hey, what about hurricanes? Seriously, I did enjoy that late night thread as Hurricane Ike was coming ashore. That was both exciting and informative.

MUST HAVE MORE HURRICANES!!

No, that was a fun discussion. I enjoy following them - but we certainly got lucky that night.....could have sucked a lot more than it did (though it was still pretty horrible).

After watching Hugo and then being in the middle of Fran, I have a soft spot for the power of those storms. You called it that night... as bad as Ike was, it could've been a lot worse had it not jogged north at the end. Saved many lives, probably.

You know, I post on another board where any threads in the Politics forum require commentary from the OP or they are locked. Wish that was the case sometimes around here
