Important softball series coming up

Georgia comes to Knoxville for a three game series Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Georgia leads the SEC in batting average, is 4th in slugging %, is 2nd in on-base %, 2nd in runs scored, 1st in hits, 2nd in RBI's, 3rd in doubles, 2nd in triples, 8th in HR's, and 2nd in total bases.

In other words they can hit the ball and score runs. The LV pitching had better be ready. The "real" SEC starts now for the LV's. If they can take this series, then it bodes well for the remainder of the season and post-season.

Georgia pitching is 3rd in the SEC in ERA so the LV's cannot count on outscoring them.

Keep your fingers crossed that the pitchers take all their vitamins.

Stats don't mean much now, as SEC teams have played, what, one series or at most two. That's not to say georgia won't be tough--every sec team is tough these days.
