To win the SEC Championship in what her 2nd year as coach , is pretty admirable. Deserve a number 1 .

I thought we had no chance of being a number one seed and now it looks to be certain. That is why you play the entire season before you make comments you might wish you hadn't said later.

Yet some on here would fire her!

I think some fans don't realize or want to see how tough the women's game has become across the country. It used to be Tennessee & La Tech then came UConn and now more teams are capable of winning the NCAA title all over over the country.

Holly is doing an excellent job. She knows the X"s and O"s. The job she does in recruiting the best players will determine her long term future along with the program itself. The trend is looking really good!

Zo could learn from watching her work the officials as well as how to push the ball more in the full court game. She fires up on the officials when necessary.

She had me when she gave that official an ear full at the end of the first half and had to be restrained. I wasn't for the hire and figured she would be gone in 5-6 but she is doing what many dare to even think about doing which is to follow the Greatest Coach in the Game.

I thought recruiting would fall off but it is up. Good things to come. There have been some post game comments I have not agreed with and conditioning is a concern but these are correctable and she will learn through experience.

I actually think our conditioning has been better the last two years. It might just be we have a little more depth. But Pat's last teams would run out of breath pretty consistently. But like I say, we were really thin at some positions then.

KY plays a lot of players and we had them winded just before we got that long series of breaks with all of the technicals fouls and commercials.

You maybe right with the depth issue. I think we got KY stuck in a position that Mitchell had to leave players on the floor for match ups and could not sub as freely as he had in the 1st half.

A part of coaching that we don't notice is in game match ups. They had no match for Reynolds and her entry into the game was the answer that turned this into a Championship instead of a loss.

I'm the first one who called it. Hahahahahahaha!

I think Holly will get a lot smarter if she can just get a couple of consistent three-point shooters. Just imagine how good this team could be if Harrison and Graves weren't being surrounded and pounded for 40 minutes. Sometimes its not the X's and O's, it's the Jill's and Flo's.

She's a good coach. Learned from the best. The transition has gone smoother than I thought it would so far. Next year looks even better :)

That seems to be what we have next season. Actually we might have five of them Tucker, Carter, Massengale, Dunbar, and Middleton.

Holly makes Small Mike, Philly and other misogynistic asshat callers to local sports talk shows look like the buffoons they are.

The program was in bad shape when Warlick took over--we were taking on water in the last years of PS's reign. Warlick has solidified the program, recruited reasonably well. Winning the SEC is OK--we have more talent than anybody in the SEC, so we should win it, even though lsu, kentucky and south carolina have improved significantly. What Warlick hasn't done has shown that she can beat a top team, get to the Final Four and of course win a national title. If you are not as good a coach as, say, Muffet and Geno, then what have you done? They are the bar, right now, not us, sad to say.

All this talk about Warlick being a second-year coach is disingenuous. She has been a coach for 30 years! Yea, it's a bit different being head coach--but she is very experienced and not some graduate assistant. She is far closer to retirement than starting her coaching career.

I think she has got the team more in line to what they need to do in the last several games. She now needs to work on the in bounds pass strategy. I probably put Simmons, Reynolds, Carter, and Harrison in there along with Burdick. I get all my guards and quickest players in there plus I throw it in to the back court not towards their basket. That was a huge mistake by Burdick.

I am not sure any head coach has done as well in their second season. What was Pat's record in her second season?

Holly is in her second season as HC of the Lady Vols. No other way to define it. Yes, she has much experience at assistant. That is a far cry from holding the reins yourself.

I'm obviously with the majority on regarding Holly. If Holly were to win an NC this year, there will be idiots saying that she's no good until she wins two or more. If she doesn't, there will a trove of new and first time posters spouting their ignorance of why she should be fired. Holly is here for the long haul, get over it or get another team to bandwagon on.
