I have to say this site is much better on breaking news for anything compared to govolsxtra, and even the official UT sports site. Not sure who is responsibke for volnation, but thank you. Even with all the non sports stuff and rumor threads, this site is still the best.

Yeah, don't believe anything you read without documented convincing evidence. Same as any other internet site.

I agree, I've learned how to wade through the rumor stuff for real stories. I've seen more real news broke on here before other sites

Yeah, I read here about Dooley being fired about an hour before GoVols or ESPN posted it. I deleted GoVols from my favorites bar.

This. My wife asked the other day if VN was connected with the Mafia cause of all the info posters on a variety of subjects.

I've got a buddy who is a janitor at the Swifty Mart who overheard VolNation is being sold to Gators.com for 5 yr 60 million deal. Also heard Freak is not responsible for the success of site it's all run by Haslam and Freak just wants credit to build credibility.

U know u hear stuff you're not supposed to as a janitor.

This is where I come from breaking news. As long as I read it with a "reader beware" filter I like to get it here first.
