Our defense will have better coaching, better positioning, better conditioning, and better discipline.

The offense will have Worley (a much smarter QB) with Peterman/Ferguson/Dobbs backing him up.

A BAD*SS offensive line (probably best in the nation) with exciting and experienced RB's behind them. Neal/Lane/Young/Hill/Jabo Lee. RB position will also be improved, with better conditioning. Our wide outs might have something to prove, but Vincent Dallas is a lock. Jacob Carter DON'T DROP BALLS! The number 2 WR in this class in North, along with Paul Harris and Ryan Jenkins.

We have a brutal schedule, but I will feel much better knowing we have a coach that know's when to call time-out, and when not to. And we will have coaches that know you can't play 13 men on defense to try and win a ball game.

I'm ALL VOL. For life.

And I can't WAIT for spring practice!!

GO VOLS!!

The offense is a complete unknown. There's no way at this point you can say they will be better than what we had in 2012. That offense was actually really explosive.

Our defense still has the same players, and no matter how bad sal may have been they didnt help themselves one bit. All of our QBs have very little game experience and worley with the most is not impressive so far. our offensive line is great but we have nobody that is game changing playing behind them. Vincent Dallas dropped a wide open td and jacob carter is the skylar mcbee of football. North and harris and jenkins should be starting with croom and bowles, no experience there. And yes our schedule is brutal and we will be lucky to win 6 games.

I'm in as well.

I really believe in the new DC. Just read the guy's bio and what he did at Cincy. He had them top 10 in forced turnovers!

There's few stats more important than that.

We are solid at DT. We have two great Lb's. Randolph and McNeil are going to be stars. And Brewer may end up as that third LB.

Offensively, the new scheme is going to pay off big time in the running game by giving us a numerical advantage.

Hell, it might be Peterman taking the lead for all I know. Giving Worley (upper classman) the benefit of the doubt.

What's up pimpest one?

Not much homie, just been ridin this rollercoaster all day. Yea, gotta give it to Worley goin into spring ball but he has three guys on his azz that wants to play. The competition will just make them all better. Patterson and Hunter headin to the NFL sucks but North and Jenkins aren't bad replacements. Didn't get our "big" name RB but we have a stable of guys that will push each other. As you said, beast of an OL and I believe the defense will be MUCH better.

The issue is if any of the starters get hurt or go down. We are effed. given UT's string of luck, it is a near certainty this will happen. We NEED depth.

O'brien and Miller add great depth at DT.

LB is thin, and this class def. didn't help that. But I think we end up moving Brewer down, and that will help a bit.

Also anxious to see what Butch does with this offense, having superior athletes than what he had at Cincy.

+1 to that.

I think we land a big name RB after they see this offense in person next year. It's going to be great.

The zone read eliminates 1 dlineman from the play, leaving you with less people to block.

That combined with out superior oline, should lead to a major improvement.

The only thing proven this year is that our oline will be great. Everything else is scary. Especially on defense..

This is why I believe Peterman will eventually start. In this zone read you gotta have a QB that has at least decent mobility. I just don't see Worley running it. Could be wrong though. That's why VolMaster ain't no coach!

We need quality depth similar to the likes of Bama and LSU if we want to compete in this league. Converting safeties to LB isn't the answer. We need to be 2-3 deep on defense at every position with 4 star talent.

I get that doesn't seem reasonable, but it was the case during the Fulmer years, and Bama/LSU/UGA are doing it now. No reason we can't be.

We need to stop thinking like a second tier team. Brewer providing LB shouldn't be acceptable.

the team will be worse.

the record will be better

Disagree!! Record will be better,(6-6,7-5, 8-4) and with a true coach now, this team will be better. The players we lost in Bray, Hunter, and CP....I think Peterman, Dobbs, and even Worley will be better QB's...Bray was a strong arm that couldn't see the field...I'd rather have a good arm that can see the field....WR's, we have plenty of depth there..guys will step up, and by mid-season they will be just as good there. I just really have a lot of faith in Butch Jones, love his drive and hunger!:good!:

The Western game will be an early test of CBJ. Cant wait to see if these guys can coach.

99 Gator, I actually think your alls QB is a lot like Bray..strong arm, but can't see the field. So many times against Louisville he tried to force a pass, and just 10 yards down field you could see a gator WR open by 8 yards...at least maybe he can improve since he was just a Sophomore.

skylar mcbee iced Kansas a few years ago with a clutch 3. you give me 1 td like that from carter and im happy.

Can't possibly be as slow as Bray.
