good to see improvements...maybe it'll encourage fans to get off their butts and cheer!

I didn't see anything about electrical charges under the seats :w00t:
so don't get your hopes up about folks getting their butts up...

It's great to hear about the concourse being widened. My seats are in the north end zone in X5 and it has been a bear at halftime with the concession line having the concourse blocked. It was like a sardine can!

It was kind of like herding cattle in and out, prior to the game, during, and afterwards.

Errrr. . . .from what I've seen, it will probably do the OPPOSITE. The only thing that will make that happen is for the crowd to lose a collective 30 years while the athletic department starts infusing Viagra into the soda fountain and offers free dinners at Picadilly to the loudest section.

should be a much needed "fan friendly" improvement...the herding cattle comment was exactly right....

have you seen some of the folks in the west side? there is know way that they will be getting up to cheer. Some of them look as if they don't even know what's going on half of the time. We sat their a couple of years ago and we were pretty buzzed up and those old farts were the biggest buzz killers. Know noise what so ever.

IMO there is a fine line of cheering too much as well.I saw one UT fan so pumped up, all the seats around him were empty.I also have seen people try and try to start the wave going and it seems as though that is the only reason they came to the game.As for me, I cheer how I want because frankly I don't give a hoot what people think to be honest.I mean I didn't travel 3 hours one way, pay for 6 tickets in advance, two nights stay, two rooms (in Maryville), gas, meals, etc. to have someone control my freaking weekend! That said, I do try to keep respectful though. Not an idiot.

I agree with everything you said. Ushers should be instructed to shoot anyone caught trying to start the wave.

I can hear it now from the person in front of me...

"Excuse me, could you please get your knee out of my back? Hey wait a minute, that's not your knee."

:dunno: I got a chuckle out of it. That's all that matters.
:boredom: It is pretty sad when you are laughing at your own jokes, yet no one else is. :biggrin2:

Not really, I'm just keeping myself entertained since people like you can't do it. :p
