From Rivals:

Dye brings a lot to the table as a defensive end. He does a good job using his length to his advantage when coming off the line of scrimmage. Dye is able to keep offensive linemen off of him while he slips by to make the tackle in the backfield or pursue the ball carrier.

There's clearly a lot of room left for him to add muscle mass as he gets older but this past season he did a nice job of breaking free of blockers and dragging ball carriers to the ground.

At this point, Dye is able to physically dominate the man in front of him but it will be interesting to see if he's able to take his game to the next level by developing a strong repertoire of pass rushing moves that could help him get to the quarterback even faster.

Dye has official visits scheduled for Ohio State, Georgia, Miami and Tennessee.

Mariyon Dye made his way into town on Thursday, and will also spend Friday with the staff learning about the program and how he could fit into Tennessee’s defense. The coveted EDGE has built a strong bond with multiple members of the coaching staff, including Coach ‘Chop’. Getting him to campus in April was important for the Vols, as he is also expected to take an official visit in June.

I think Vols and UGA are out in front heading into the OVs.

On3 really needs to look into removing that garbage On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine from their website. It makes them look like a bunch of damn fools. It currently shows Ohio State at 93.3% to land this kid at the same time Wiltfong says Vols and UGA are the leaders.

One of the best looking prospects at the On3 elite series event in Nashville was Mariyon Dye. Tennessee and Georgia have the most momentum for him with Ohio State and Purdue right behind them. He will visit Tennessee officially on the weekend of June 21st, which means the Vols will be the last team he will see.

Indiana edge Mariyon Dye is the headliner this weekend and Tennessee hopes to build off the momentum they gained with Dye last month. Georgia, Ohio State and Purdue are the other teams involved here. Dye loves ‘Coach Chop’ and the Vols certainly feel like they have a real shot to land him with a commitment likely coming in July or August.

Do we take this guy AND Gibson if he wants in? We have several edges on the board and committed already...
