As a Gator fan, I was glad to see that guy graduate. He was a great player. As a basketball fan, always enjoyed watching him play. Go CL And GO VOLS! BEAT UK!

I must of read this about 20 times lol. Thanks for posting!

I love the highlight on YouTube to Lupe Fiasco's Instrumental. Most impressive video that finishes off with that HUGE bomb he dropped on Vandy. I didn't get to see that game (one of the VERY few I missed) but I bet Memorial went completely silent when he hit that unbelievable shot!

As for step backs, John Jenkins is about as close as I've seen to Lofton's. Go Vols!

I was glad to see Lofton on a small pregame video with Chism right before the Auburn game. It made me miss both of those men wearing the orange.

I remember Lofton's Sr year and how it looked like he wasn't the same player. He got better as the season went along but still wasn't all the way there. No telling how many more 3 pointers and points he would've scored.

I do remember his drive and the kiss off the glass at the end to beat Ky at home to help UT win the SEC title. He still had something left in him.

Maybe they were just bad times for him, but I wasn't very impressed with his attitude the few times I have been around him in the real world... Not really a jerk, but definitely not very friendly... One time we were around him, some of his friends from Knox and 2 neighbors that lived right next to him in ky growing up. it was a dad and son. They drove all the way down here to finally attend a UT game to watch him play.. U could tell they wnted to hang and talk with him after the game to catch up.. they said they used to be really close to him and his family. he pretty much ignored them the entire time after the game. I could sense the awkwardness, so i started talking to them.. They seemed like super nice ppl..CL instead hung out with guys he didnt really seem to fit in with, but tried really hard to (trying to put it nicely)..Kinda sad.. But, I still really respect his will, his heart and his game.. I wish the best for him.

I don't know, but I heard he's shy. Also if it was his senior year, then probably just was having a lot of bad times because of his cancer treatments and what not. Everything I've heard of him is great. My brothers actually got to meet him (his junior year) and he took a picture with them, autographed a hat, and even gave my brother a pointer about shooting (get your shoulders squared at all times).

i have met chris multiple times at the RTL games and he has always been more than friendly with my family and i. i have about 20 pictures over the years with him, autographed basketballs, and a few of the pictures autographed as well. he never was the least bit rude or unwilling always very nice, and would cut up and make small talk. scotty hopson on the other hand was always pretty rude, seemed like he wanted to be somewhere else and had better things to do.
