Tennessee threw its hat in the ring in the pursuit of Indiana offensive lineman Blake Fisher this week, a prospect who could potentially end up being one of the highest ranked players nationally in the 2021 class regardless of position. Fisher (6-foot-6, 330 pounds), from Avon, Indiana, had a message from his coach to call Jeremy Pruitt on Tuesday and by the time he had followed up and talked to the Vols’ head coach he was holding a Tennessee offer. “I talked to coach Pruitt and we had a good conversation and he extended the offer,” Fisher said. “I’ve heard a lot of great things about Tennessee, enough that along with the offer I know that I want to visit this summer, it will probably be in August.”
Tennessee had been in touch with Fisher for several months before the offer this week, starting back in the winter when assistant coach Chris Weinke was at his high school checking on a 2019 prospect. “I actually starting taking to Tennessee 4-5 months ago, I met Coach Weinke when he was at my school and he let me know that they had a lot of interest in me. Like I said, I’ve heard a lot about Tennessee and that it’s a great place so I definitely want to see for myself.” Though Fisher has yet to begin his junior year of high school he’s no stranger to the recruiting process. He’s holding more than two dozen offers now, many of them from elite programs such as Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, Michigan and Notre Dame. He’s already taken unofficial visits to Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State Wisconsin and Indiana and hopes to see a handful of other programs this summer, including Tennessee.
“I never really saw it coming to be honest with you,” Fisher said of a recruitment that’s taking off like a rocket ship this spring. “It’s crazy, but it’s important for me to stay humble and keep working hard. It’s a blessing for a 16 year old like myself to be in this position and that’s how I try to treat it everyday.” Fisher sounds like a young man who is taking a mature approach to the recruiting process, especially given all the attention he’s gotten. He’s got a checklist of things he looks for when he takes a visit and is keeping count of how programs match-up against one another in the areas he considers most important in his decision making process. “No. 1 is academics for me, that’s definitely first. After that, I want to make sure that I can build relationships at a place and not just with my position coach, I want to be able to connect with the coaches and the people inside the program,” he said. “I definitely look at the depth chart, I want to see when I’m going to have a shot to play. I want to go somewhere that I’m going to get developed, somewhere that will give me a chance to get to the next level. “Finally it’s got to be somewhere that I fit into the culture, where I get along with the players who are already there on the team and somewhere that I just fit in.”

Thank you for answering my question.
It was difficult to get the info on 247. They dont really have a coaching section. And it looks like once a kid signs they drop the recruiters and you have to find the coaches all time recruits and sift thru that.

Should have been easier than it was
