[In the future, they will say that] The Alabama decline began when...

A decline? I'm not sure losing to your top rival at the very end of the game on a very unlikely play can be described or even classified as a decline.

They've still managed to kick us around since 2006.

It declined when Gus showed up and showed Saban he wasn't going to line up and play smash mouth, old school football of which he would surely lose. Gus came with 3 plays that shoved speed and finesse down Sabans throat and while Saban could have made adjustments. He refused to change his game plan...and got punked again.

Actually it's just a prediction of future events. Football programs tend to degrade when Kiffin is involved.

Kiffin planted the explosives.

Dooley light the fuse.

Sabans last 2 football moves
1. Attempt an 85 yard field goal
2. Ask Lane Kiffin for advice

Maybe we are seeing the beginning of the end.

When Will Muschamp beat someone up in line at Best Buy on Christmas eve 2013. That's when he was fired and Florida hired Kirby Smart and Saban hired Lance Thompson for DC. That did not go well! In Thompson's second season as DC, Alabama went 7-5 and even Saban was getting "For Sale" signs stuck in his yard in the middle of the night. He had enough, and retired.

I know this is a long-shot, but if I'm right, I'm going to look like a genius.

If you don't mind, I'm going to edit the title of the thread to indicate that that's what you meant in at least the hope of keeping it on track.
