It's Alabama, not the red team. Sounds like some Gerry Dinardo garbage. Never worked well for him either..

The papers down in Birmingham talk about how McCarron felt disrepected about being called the red-team...said he wanted to put up as many points as possible and not come out. He also said that UT saying that they could compete with anyone was a slap in the face because he doesn't think Bama is just anyone...Saban then said "We feel like they (UT) can compete with anyone in the country, and we knew we needed to play our best." Contradicting each other so...who's right and who's wrong here?

Who cares Bama played starters deep into fourth they wanted more and kept throwing it. They did not take second half off and Dobbs moved the ball on them

Along with Andrew Zow and Walter Lewis add Vince Sutton, Danny Woodson, Star Jackson and Philip Simms (both transferred)

I keep reading this over and over again but it's not true, just trying to make yourselves feel better? Saban did the same thing he always does, mix a few subs in with the starters for a quarter or so and then puts all the subs in. That's the way he teaches they younger players. With a 35+ point lead you don't really play as hard as you did before, remember KY scored on us too after the game was out of reach.

This is the reason I think that Oregon will beat Bama. Bama is good but does not have the speed of Oregon.

Saban is just doing coach speak.

McCarron probably reflects the true mood of the team, I am sure. I have no respect for him. Prior to the game he states it's not a rivalry and that it's just another game.

After the game he makes a big deal out of the red team stuff and gets offended that another team thinks they can beat bammer. Just another example of the inflated egos in bammer that put football above their very lives and get real touchy when you question their team.

So AJ...enjoy not getting drafted in the NFL, or if you do manage to get drafted, hold that clipboard well for a few games because you ain't $##$ and never will be as an actual athlete. You just happen to play for a winning team. Now GFY!!!!

McCarron was throwing deep with about 6 minutes left in the game, so STFU.

I hate to disagree, but the originator of the post you replied to WAS correct. They DID play their starters for far too long into the 4th quarter - WELL after the game was decided.

Yes, they DID mix in some non-starters after a while, but it was FAR too long after it was necessary.

That is NOT why we lost - not by a long shot - but it was insulting, and classless, no matter how much you disagree with it.

When did Coach Jones pull UT's starters against Austin Peay, Western Kentucky, and South Alabama? Did he leave starters in just to get extra reps because he knows experience will pay bigger dividends in the future? Would it really make Tennessee's fans feel better if Alabama had played nothing but 2nd and 3rd stringers the entire 2nd half? If the roles were reversed and UT was beating Bama handily you would laugh at Bama fans for saying Coach Jones had left starters in too long.

And you call us trailer trash, inbred , toothless, etc. ?

Yes! That's why you don't like black QBs. :)

And yes, I know about Grizzard and Zow...both very unpopular with bammer fans. I am surrounded by bammer fans. Whenever there is a chance for a black QB to start, instantly he sucks...whether he does or not.

In fact, many of your fans are down on Sims.

Does this help? :)
