I think either or both teams still get in with a 10-2 record. But as others have said, we need to take care of business because Georgia in Athens will be a different animal unless they drop a few more and the fans lose steam.

Texas should blast Georgia Saturday. I really think Georgia slips up again after Texas. Not the same team as they’ve been.

I hope you’re right. Their fans are spoiled at this point and Athens won’t be nearly as hostile with a three loss Georgia team.

I also don't think this UGA team is as good as they have been in the past but No Sir Eee has also been predicting their imminent demise for 7 years and he's gotta be right about it eventually.

Seems a lot of teams are not as good as projected

I think in the future you will start seeing 3 loss teams winning national titles. The college game (unfortunately) is becoming more like the NFL with the portal and NIL. The talent is becoming much more spread out, especially in the SEC. For example: Why ride the pine at Bama when you can get a solid payday and start at Ole Miss or A&M?

No, a 10-2 Bama or Tennessee gets in I think, but there is no margin for error after a loss. Must win out.
Imagine Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Texas, and TAMU all with 10-2 records. Who would the SEC choose to play TAMU for the SECCG? And would the loser of that game still get into the playoffs?

Would be wild, depends on who the loser is. Texas, Georgia and TAMU all potentially could have played a playoff team out of conference, so you'd think they'd have the best arguments to get in as conference championship game losers. Texas had a pretty favorable draw of SEC teams though and A&M lost that OOC. Probably Georgia would have the best shot of getting in as a 10-3 CCG loser because of the schedule, which would have included all of the other 4 (if A&M is their CCG opponent) and Clemson, who is probably a playoff team.

How does that help TN? We still have to play Georgia and they can only afford one more loss as well, which means they would be fighting for their lives against TN in Athens.
