Move this to Around the NCAA but I think it garners more attention than that forum gets.

Gentry Estes (BamaBeat) on Twitter

Birmingham radio host Jim Dunaway announcing Ingram got hurt last night and Dr Andrews perfomred surgery this morning.

Def out for San Diego State, maybe Penn State

Ouch!

If he misses two games and Richardson gets his grasp on that starting job, he might not get it back.

I would be a little surprised if that happened but only because he's the returning heisman winner. I wouldn't be too surprised if it was solely on skill

The success that Richardson can have will be great if Mark Ingram in banging between the tackles and making mush of the defensive line a backers.

bad way to start for bama they'll be pretty vulnerable as long as these 2 are missing from action

As much as I hate Bama, I have a lot of respect for Ingram. He seems like a good guy and he is a solid player. Hope this doesn't affect his career opportunities at the end of the season.

Bama can act cocky if they want. I expected two losses before the injury. Bama depended on running the ball and dominating the clock and the defense being dominant. They don't have this in 2010. Teams will make the qb beat them and it's that simple. Bama is not unbeatable this year. They are a 10 win team that has to fight for most wins like everybody else. Richardson is good in a one two punch situation. Not the main back who takes a pounding. Expect a lot of turnovers this year for Bama.
