The 2010 recruiting class has withstood the initial damage of the Coaching change.

We have lost 4 2010 commits and a 2011 commit in the first 36 hours but none in the last 24. Believe me, that is GOOD NEWS..

Of the current remaining recruits, 9 are in class and or are committed. The remainder of the class is in a wait and see mode, obviously. This also is a GOOD THING
.
If a new coach can be put in place and meet the kids who are still coming this weekend and contact the commits(and they are still commits at this point) that won't be here, then we have a better than average chance at keeping them due to the late date and other schools available roster spots.

Be Cool and don't panic yet. We have a few hours left.

Eh, this is FAR from over.

I expect at least 5 more decommits and all of the players we had pretty much locked up will be going elsewhere.

We virtually have NO OL at this point so not sure how you can be optimistic.

JJ will be gone.
Cullen will most likely be gone.
Fulton is gone.
Green will be a Gator.

Yea, lets not panic, more walk ons in our future at OL is always a good thing.

This is premature. If we don't get a BIG name...then we have yet to see the worst. There is no good news until we hire a coach. Then, we'll see which direction this class goes. More than likely, we end up having to go the Greg Schianno route and take the guys that are super athletes, but have been overlooked for whatever reason. Michael Taylor was one of those guys until he blew up in the UA AA game.

Wow! You do not have much faith in the Tradition,Facilities and academics of your university. Do you really believe that all These kids were here for that Jerk. How long have you been a UT fan. Myself 45 years and I have seen alot of kids come thru here and we have more to offer than LANE KIFFIN, I promise. Have you ever seen our facilities or a crowd on Saturday night?:cray:

Wake up. This is not the University of Lane Kiffin. It is the university of Tennessee.

Your a sky is fallin Dude, HUH???

We don't have a head coach...kids don't stay committed to a school that has no HC. Give it another 45 years and we'll talk.

Yep and most of the kids they were recruiting were not coming here for UT, because he was not recruiting them to UT he was to USCe.

James has already said hes open again.

Cullen has no real ties here anymore.

Green might stick but he was all but a Gator before, and will probably still be.

Not a sky is falling, just a realist and understand this is what happens. These kids are very finicky and the smallest things sway them away, They had bonds with those coaches and not the University I hate to tell you. None of those kids listed were really considering UT without this staff so to think they stay is just silly.

If its someone local, who has true feelings for UT thats one thing but this is not the case.

Being a baby about it is not going to solve your problem. Sorry, but I didn't take a crap on your birthday cake.

I have 7 that have clearly decommitted, some of the other commits are taking a wait and see on new coach.

Fulton will be visiting BR in the next week. J. Smith is in talks with LSU coaches but it sounds like he would rather stay if he can.

I respect your opinion. I also understand your perspective. I don't agree but thats OK. I think right now we have 13 Solid and 3 weeks with the right coach will keep our class very respectable...

Trust me, I am not happy about Crowton, heck if I really didn't like you I would tell you to hire Crowton as HC.

As far as losing 4, no you have lost at least 6-7 at the moment if not 8-9 or more, they can always recommit, and Ambles and Dixon will probably be decommitting before this is all said and done. You have probably 2-4 more that are doing a wait and see.

You attacking me is not going to solve the problem.

- Taylor
- C. Smith
- J. Smith
- Fulton
- Willis
- D. Jones

Expect
- A. Dixon
- Ambles

The rest which are not enrolled are all waiting and see other than a few.

Sorry, not meaning to attack. I simply believe that we have 13 solid and an opportunity with the right coach to keep a large portion of this class together. We have mostly 4-5* players and eeven with a class of 18-20 that is still very respectable..

Can we lose them all? Maybe, but we havent yet and signing day is FEB 3rd.

I can see us still having a great class with the right guy...

Fulton and J. Smith have said that they are in a wait and see mode. Smith will be a VOL..

Fulton said " I will have to wait and see what happens but as of right now I am commited to no one"

Ambles and Dixon have not been reported anywhere that I can find as have stated an opinion one way or another. If you have such a statement please share it. Thanx..

when they name cut head coach later today we will have no commitments so we won't have anything else to worry about.

You are going to lose a large portion of these guys. If they were in-state recruits you would probably have a easier time keeping them.

TN will have to focus on more the 2 and 3 star guys very quickly to fill the roster.

Fulton started up visits again. I think he goes to Neb and next week to LSU.

Rumor Grandma and J.S. to LSU this weekend.

I would start expecting both Ambles and Dixon, there is no official statement, but I rather you be ready when it happens. If you think you only lost 4 you are in for a rude awakening, I am sorry about what Lame-o did, that is not my fault.
