These are all from our state. In years past, Tennessee state talent has been lacking, but by my count 247 has 18 4* players from the state of Tennessee. If Pruitt wants to start winning, he needs to fence in our state. We are beginning to have solid talent here in our own backyard, and they don't need to be going elsewhere.

2019 can be an incredible Tennessee based class. Yesterday was a bummer, BUT....a solid foundation to start with. For comparison, Tennessee only had a total of 13 players in this years class ranked 4-5*.

Build the fence. Build the program.

Anybody have a list of where they go to school in Tennessee? Read article on Lampley and MBA.

It's disappointing that we are in rebuild mode once again. With that said, I really believe we have a capable staff and ample talent in state to get us back fairly quickly, whether we knock it out of the park next year or not...

VQ has said multiple times we probably wouldn’t take too many in state kids this cycle. Only the elite ones.

Anybody else notice all the top players are from central or west TN? I swear I wish UT was in Nashville or Chattanooga(GA players)...It would make recruiting so much easier.

But wait.......but wait......Jones told Dennis Dodd last year, who was writing a fluff piece on Lyle and how he was actually underrated, that the state of Tennessee only has 8 or so D1 prospects and is generally a poor state to recruit. Why, how can this be??

Yep and Jones is a tool. Nashville and the surrounding metro area is a hotbed and has actually passed up Memphis as far as talent.

Well while we're wishing, I'll just wish ut was in Marietta GA....that'd work👍😜

Agree. The growth in D1 talent for the state of Tennessee has been insane. We could easily get 50-60% of our future recruiting classes out of the state on the way to annual top 5-10 classes. Like you said, the mid-state area has blown up. Williamson, Davidson and Rutherford counties have a ton of players to pick from.

I've been saying this for over a year. About time you caught on.

I think the state of TN recruiting wise will be similar to Louisiana from here on out. Not the depth of talent in other states but the top end guys are as good as anywhere else in the country. LSU owns Louisiana and we need to own the state of TN, too much talent here now to keep letting these guys go to other schools.

Go F yourself. Nobody’s just now “catching on”. I’ve lived here the last 18 years kid, have seen it happen over the last 6-7 years, before the Vols started another black qb/you even knew Vol football existed. Go brush up on your Dline 1 vs 3 vs 5 vs 9 techniques kid...lol.

I see someone is a lil emotional today.

Why the rude language? Isn't that against site rules? :)
