DBs are taught how to arm bar and hand grab and not get caught.
It’s encouraged.
90% of the time it works and they get away with it.
It’s worse than unsportsmanlike conduct.
It’s an abomination of the game.
Cynical.

Solution: put a ref in the booth to stop play for review. There’s only 1 ball. It’s a quick and easy call to make. NFL did it after infamous Rams Saints no call.
Penalty is spot foul.
If flagged twice in a game for it, sit out 4 quarters. Not draconian bc the foul is totally intentional. Like spearing.

That would definitely slow down our offense, but I am very tired of the refs missing so many calls. Albeit, Tennessee got away with some stuff too in this one.

The refs and umps in all sports are no different than they were 30 years ago. But we live in an entitlement society now where we demand perfection from anyone who has an impact our our performance. The outrage over MLB umps is comical. A home plate umpire misses a strike call by an inch and people lose their minds. It’s ridiculous, people need to stop blaming everyone but themselves for things not going their way on the field

I’m talking about intentional cheating and deception, not judgment calls.

Sorry...I can appreciate you are frustrated at the no calls but that is a terrible solution. Educating refs is about all you can do.

Pat Summitt would tell her team; "You have beat the refs too", is the actual quote. Meaning you have to win big enough that the bad calls refs make do not make a difference."
It’s not a bad call. It’s a no call bc the ref cannot see it from his vantage.

I don't demand perfection, just competence. When the ref is looking RIGHT at it when a DB grabs the receivers arm with the ball in the air and does not throw the flag, it's either incompetence or corruption.

It's always been my view on this subject, never ever let off the gas. You play to win the game! 110% of the time, you give 110%. Whether your playing a game, your work, or a relationship!

Refs didn't miss blatant false starts 30 years ago.

How about we publish report cards for referees? Like ProFootball focus but for referees. No one is perfect, but every job has evaluations. And I don't think you fire them but data would be handy to analyze the effectiveness

I think the right standard is that they don’t have to be perfect, just don’t be terrible. A questionable PI call is not terrible
