If you can't open

1. Florida
2. UGA
3 UAT
4 Syracuse
5 Oklahoma

Geez our record agaisnt UGA and of all people Arkansas recently has been terrible and embarrassing.

My picks:

1. UGA
2. UF
3. UAT
4. Oklahoma
5. MSU, think Lebby will have the Dawgs much improved and in Starkville.

Playing Florida later in the season is good for us. With all the hype they have going into this year, I could see them falling apart late if the season starts like it did last year. I'd be more nervous if it was the first conference game of the year like it used to be.

The toughest games will be against Georgia and Oklahoma. I think Oklahoma will be improved. And Georgia is a team we gotta finally figure out.

I think it's the beginning of the end of Alabama. They're now like every other program. I expect us to beat them every year.

You may be right about UF. But it could be the opposite. Think about this past season. We played them early and barely won. We wouldn’t have wanted to play them late in the season last year as they found their groove. I can’t believe I am saying this but I seriously think we beat them in the Swamp this year.

As far as OU is concerned, they may be better but they are coming here. I don’t think that will be too tough. Bama on the road is gonna be tougher than OU IMO. Bama had a down year last year but Deboer is a good coach. I suspect they will be better this year. As far as UGA, I have nothing to say. I just don’t see how we beat them.

Top half of our schedule is pretty brutal, honestly:

at Lizard
UGA
at Red Elephants
Sooners
Pig
Syracuse

4 losses from this is not a stretch, especially being at Bama and at Florida.

I don't get the comments like "that shouldn't be a tough game" about almost any SEC game given what we've seen in the league and how much easier it is to improve year to year. And while McCord is gone, Brown has shown that he can coach and they were 10-3 last year. If their defense remains as porous as it was, though, it's a game we should win.

Georgia, Oklahoma, Alabama, Florida, and even Arkansas could all be tough tests this year, but there is so much unknown now until the season begins and we get a look at how everyone is shaping up. I'll say this - I far prefer to get Georgia early and Florida late, especially playing the Gators down there.

The psychology going into 2025 is different than 2024 for Florida. There are people who think they can be a top 10 team in preseason polls. Some have them ranked ahead of us in way too early polls. They definitely are one of the most hyped team of 2025. Totally different than 2024 when Billy Napier was on the hot seat before Week 1.

Last year they had nothing to lose which is why they were able to salvage the season after such a bad start. This year they'll have way higher expectations so if they struggle early there's the chance they never recover and the season spirals out of control for them.

Until the Vols start beating top teams on the road I’m not going to get my hopes up.
Exactly, Vols have not won at the Swamp or in Tusc in a long time and not confident that changes next season. Both will be good. GA could be a maybe since its a Neyland but that hasn't been a factor for GA in several yrs either.
