He didn't say who should have won it, he said there were a bunch of guys who deserved consideration. He seemed to be directing his ire at the fact Smith was annointed so early in the process.a) It may show that OSU was not as invinceable as previously reported, but I'm not sure what it says about the conference. Penn St and Wisconsin acquitted themselves pretty well, although their bowl opponents weren't exactly streaking. Iowa played a quality opponent well. Purdue stunk.
b) Who did Franklin think should have won the Heisman?
As most of you would expect, I was watching Texas Tech v. K State instead of UF-OSU. When the final score came across, Ron Franklin stated that a) that proves both Big Ten teams were nothing but hype, and b) the Heisman Trophy was a railroad job because Troy Smith didn't play anybody.
