I doubt they part with him. I even more doubt he makes a move to college football, he’s an nfl career man. And saban ain’t retiring, so unless there’s an alternate universe (commonly referred to as purgatory) where saban hires belicheck as an analyst, it ain’t happenin.

Saban and Belichick are great friends and have coached together before. It wouldn't be that farfetched to see them do it again together at a college job. Their names are so prominent that they would recruit themselves.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised at all. Bill won't get another pro job after this. The theory of "it wasn't Bill, it was Brady," is all but proven now.

That being said, i think if he is fired (which he will be,) he will likely just retire.

Perhaps New England owner Kraft gives Belichick one more season to turn things around.

Yea BB is willing to play second fiddle to anyone? GTFO. He's and ego monster.

My guess is he's the Chargers next coach

He's still regarded as an amazing coach. His GM abilities are crap.

Line forms to the left for NFL teams that would not only hire him, but give him full control. I say that with a track record of agreeing with your Brady point…stating it frequently dating back to Brady’s departure from NE. My opinion is that he doesn’t want his last couple of seasons to be his parting narrative. His next destination would require full control AND a legit franchise QB in place. So the Chargers would be ideal.

A new offensive coordinator should buy him 2 more seasons. I don’t know that Mac Jones is actually the problem, but that could also be addressed if deemed necessary.

I also don’t think there’s a ton of elite head coaching talent out there right now. A bunch of good coaches, a bunch of used to be very good coaches. But the margin for error there in the nfl is slim, and a move away from belicheck could prove to be a catastrophically bad long term move if they don’t land the next real deal. Just ask teams like Washington, Carolina, Chicago, Indy, Denver, Atlanta, New Orleans, etc. New head coach and shiny new toy at qb doesn’t ensure success by any means.

I wish Ala would hire him. He has proven that's he's average at best without Brady. But Bellicheat will never be an assistant in College. He would get another NFL job the minute he gets let go. Don't know where people come up with this crap. BB has NEVER coached College Football and at 71, he won't start now. Anybody that actually believes this is an absolute idiot.

He's an elite coach. Especially on D. Bad GM.

Zero chance in hell billichek goes to cfb. Can you imagine that guy having to constantly call and kiss the feet of snot-nosed 15-year-old punks?

Think about all the success Nick Saban has had and yet what his daily life consists of. Constantly kissing ass to a bunch of kids. 247, 365 days a year… That’s what he does. It takes a rare type of person to sign up for it and to do it for years and years.

I'm not sure that Saban is kissing A J McCarron's ass in this clip, but I'll let you judge.

It’s really not that hard of a concept to understand what I’m saying. Recruiting is catering to them and all but begging them to come to your school. That’s what head coaches (and especially a guy like Sabin that recruits 247) does.

Once the kids show up on campus of course they push them really hard to develop and bring the best out in them, etc.

My comment was regarding Belichick and his willingness to recruit. Personally, I just can’t see him calling recruits on a daily basis sometimes for 2+ years, essentially kissing their ass.

I totally agree about Belichick. It's a different kind of coach. Both Saban and Meyer are great at the college level and they both were awful in the NFL. Belichick has nothing to gain by coaching college football.

I assume, by now, Saban has it a little easier than someone like Heupel. If a kid plays football well enough to be recruited by Bama, he knows who Saban is, probably knows and admires someone Saban coached, and a coach has probably told him "this man can get you in the league."

Heupel has a few more years ahead before, hopefully, guys are REALLY buzzing about his offense, can name a couple of guys showing out in the NFL who came from UT, and have a coach saying "this guy knows what to do with your talent."

Until you get some coaches on your side, some buzz around your program, and some guys who are successful in the NFL, it's going to be hard to get and keep elite guys without a lot of money and kissed butts.

I don't think Bellichek would even need to be doing that. they could probably find him some analyst type role. Let Bellichek just review film, or whatever he wants to do, occasionally bring a recruit by when doing a tour, chat for a few minutes about his film, and then move on. Bama has enough guys handling the hands-on recruiting part, Bellichek would just be some guy and still add plenty of value.

even after saying that, no way Bellichek works in CFB.

I don't agree with that. At the very least, it is an overly simplistic viewpoint. The Patriots defenses were too consistently good for too many years from 2001 to 2018. You can't tell me that the Patriots 13-3 Super Bowl 53 win over the Rams (their most recent one) had everything to do with Tom Brady.
