Usually I have a feeling one way or the other of who is going to win the game. For this game I don't.

Both teams want it a lot. We have the advantage in the want category. Mizzou hasn't paid their dues yet in the SEC so we win!

Not sure I get this. They win out they win the SEC East and go to Atlanta and to a possible BCS Bowl. Beat Bama there and they look a lot better than LSU did when it went to the NC game.

We win and may have an 8 win season.

I still want us to win, just think we're going to have to get the motivation from way down deep.

The commentator didn't seem to convinced until the prediction. Actually, he gave every reason possible that Missouri would lose this game. Franklin not back, RB concussion and sole backup ankle problems, Mauk lost confidence and he must rely on Receivers to bale him out, trap game. no intensity.

Reasons he gave for winning the game, true freshman QB for TN, TN not good on Road and showed a picture of CBJ, losses on the road to FL, OR and AL. Well Duh....He did nothing to convince me they were going to win by 2 TDs.

I guess the question is for me is Mizzou better than FL when we played them. FL beat us by 2 TDs. We have grown since then. We are playing with more confidence.

UT has more raw athletic talent and especially along the OL and in the front 7 on D. Sam is quick but mostly their DL success stems from their system. They stunt alot.

If UT loses the battle along the LOS then it will be on the coaches. Mizzou is a "system" team... they are NOT loaded with SEC level talent. The coaches now have a good bit of film on them from teams that have pushed them. If the coaches have watched the UGA, UF, and USCe games then they know what Mizzou will try to do and SHOULD be able to use their better athletes to blunt their attacks.

UT's OL has a HUGE opportunity this week as does UT's DL. If the DL does its job then the LB's are going to make plays all over the place. If the OL does its job, Dobbs will have an "efficient" or better day and Neal/Lane will have big games.

Again, Mizzou may win. UT may not gameplan effectively to beat their system. But this is the most overhyped opponent UT has played since WKU.

Mizzou is in for the fight of their lives. Our team will be relentless on Saturday night. It will be like a 15 round heavyweight fight, toe-to-toe until the final bell. May the best team win! Go Vols!

I chuckled when the prediction was 2 touchdowns over the VOls,, and the next sentence was,, IF MIZZOU wins, you get pizzas for 50% off....

Missouri may be very good. Or they may be very lucky.

They have beat up on four undermatched OOC opponents, showed the Mighty Commodores who's boss, prevailed over the Crippled Gators and Dawgs and lost to the USCe team we just beat. If we traded schedules, we wouldn't be #54 and they wouldn't be #10. This game is winnable. We may not win it, but the opportunity is there.

We have the advantage on the Oline and Dline, I think we can rush for over 250 yards and think our Dline and front seven can stop Missouri's running game if and big IF we play with the same energy and intensity we showed against Georgia and SC.

Missouri's WR's have the advantage over our young beat up secondary but it comes down to can we put pressure on their QB and contain our rush lanes.

I think our special teams are better but our coverage has to be better than the Bama game.

It is a very winnable game if the team plays with the energy they have showed at home.

If we can control the game with our Oline running the ball and our Dline stopping the run we win. Stat to look out for- how many passes we throw we could be in trouble if we throw the ball over 20-25 times.

How well will the Vols secondary fare against the Mizzou playmakers. That will be the key. Their entire offense is built around making big plays in their pass and run games. How will our secondary play?

in their eyes they beat a more potent team than this one last year, in Neyland, in my eyes its time for us to return the favor.

Yes, containing their speedsters will be a challenge, #6 is really quick.

I worry about containing their QB runs. Also, if they look at the USA film, then they will slant us out of the stadium.

This cat's calling no contest..."easy" winner for Mizzou:
Tiger Talk: Mizzou-Tennessee Preview

Not so fast, we beat USCjr and gave them all they could handle throughout the game. I know each game is different, but seeing how USC basically beat Mizzou in just one quarter of football, I like our chances through four. USCjr showed the holes in Mizzou and that they are not all they are cracked up to be. I really like our chances in this game. Additionally I love it when people such as yourself doubt our team.

I do not care who we are playing, I will always believe our Vols can win, any given Saturday. Both teams have to lace up and play the game for 60 minutes.

I think we have a good chance to go in there and get the win. It's been a long time since I have thought that about a road game against a ranked team. Go VOLS!

I hope their players are as over confident as their fans. If they played our schedule and caught GA and FL when we did, they wouldn't be in the top 25. In fact, many of the top 25 wouldn't be there with our schedule. I don't make predictions, but Mizzou could be in for a big surprise.

Should be a good game. Wife and I will be watching from separate rooms. I give Mizzou the advantage on home field.
