If we beat Mizzou Saturday, we have the chance to go the whole season without ever dippping below .500. The last time that happened was 2006.

Do you realize that if we win our bowl game that it will be the first time we won a bowl game, since the Wisconsin game????

We lost to Penn State, Va. Tech & UNC!!!!

wellllllllll we technically lost to UNC but I still see your point. Go vols , lets get to a bowl and WIN it.

If we win out and win the bowl game it will also be the first time TN has had a 9+ win season since 2006.

Butch has a lot of opportuinties left.

If we win out and win our bowl game, look to see extensions on coaching contracts.

That would be awesome.

I think we can beat Mizz, but i was hoping USC would lose bc I didnt want the Tigers to have any extra motivation to beat us, plus they dropped in ranking.

My season pans out like this:

W Mizzou
L Auburn
W Vandy
W Ky

finish 7-5, bowl game at Liberty Bowl, and finish 8-5. Not too shabby for the first year.

You never can tell tho. I really hope we start Dobbs and he wins a few for us.

could you imagine what it would be like if UT won out? The environment for the Vandy game would be awesome as we send Franklin out of the SEC on a good note

I'll never forget that drop by D.Moore right before halftime. I still think that was the straw that broke the camels back in that game.

Penn State was after the 2006 season. Wisconsin was the season after. So I'm not sure if that makes it worse that UT hasn't won a bowl game since 2007 or has only been to 2 since 2007.

I certainly hope we "win out"...

But something tells me y'all are smokin' crack to think it's possible...

As much as I like Butch Jones and the whole staff win out or not I think the administration would be EXTREMELY stupid to offer yet ANOTHER extension to a football coach after only his first year. If we wouldn't have offered Dooley an extension his buyout would have been greatly reduced. If we hadn't offered Fulmer an extension his buyout would have been extremely reduced. NO EXTENSIONS until MULTIPLE winning seasons AND MULTIPLE top 5 recruiting classes.

Our defense is going to have to play alot better to have any chance of beating Missou or Auburn.

Really important Randolph stays healthy for us to finish well.

Hopefully Dobbs can give us spark on offense. Recievers (besides North) need to really step up.

I thought we made some progress over the UGA/USC stretch. Now is time to take another step and get a road win. But again I think it comes down to defense....
