How so? Getting blown out in the tournament still requires participation in the tournament.

he threw BP under the bus on radio before the game started. Writing was on the wall for Bruce and the team played like it.

The writing on the wall was in September. People just chose to ignore it.

eh, ok. Maybe. But the last thing you do before the first game of MM is to state something that doesnt back your coach and/or team. As soon as the clock shows 0:00 and you lose the game, sure say it but not before.

when did Kentucky or Florida miss the tournament?

Billy Clydes last season, in which we played the effing NIT in memorial coliseum. Then subsequently had to travel to Mexico the next season and play in that shatty ballroom that was turned into a gym, which he signed us up for.

It was also the longest tournament appearance streak in the history of the school's program, beating the previous of five.

It was terrible timing yes, but BP was gone regardless of the outcome of that game.

And chances are even with BP here this year, the team would have been about the same; even Pearl said he thinks Martin did a better job with this team than he would have.

that might be presuming though that (in the pearl still here case) Tobias Harris and Hopson both still left. Just for discussion, their staying or leaving could be a debatable point in that scenario.

I actually thought it was cool to watch that game (UNLV) at Memorial - I'm 27 and that was my first chance to see the men's team there. It was also one of only a few times that year I had fun watching UK...
