Tennessee's record when Chism scores at least 9 points is 14-1, against a record of 4-3 when he doesn't reach that total. I think the coaches and the team are realizing that feeding Chism down low leads to good things.

Very intersting. He's gonna be key against vandy and for the rest of the season. When we give chism touches they start doubling him and giving hopson and skylar open shots. The key for tournament success is gonna be establishing chism as a legitament threat in the paint.

I think this stat (as are most stats) is inflated because when Chisy is doing well the whole team is doing well. I'm am a GIGANTIC Chism fan though, I love his play and his attitude.

It's not inflated, it just isn't surprising. When our best player is productive, the team does better. When he is not productive, the team does worse.

Exactly, we've struggled to shoot the three against the zone this year because our passing is stagnant and we don't really look to work the ball into the paint. Seems like they have been content to just work the ball around the perimeter most of the year, but when we are able to work inside out Skylar and Scotty become MUCH more effective as jump shooters. Speaking of jump shooting, is it just me or has Skylar looked like he overrotates a little bit much in his jumper? He squares up nicely but finishes up a little left most of the time it looks to me.

BigOrangePride Here:

I think that if Coach Pearl runs his offense around Chism tonight it might be a better turn out than the game in Jan.
In that game Chism only had 8 points I think (I might be wrong) but 4 of those were FT's...so not alot of productivity from that.
But I think if they get the ball downlow Chism proved that he could get the points aginst Carolina with his career high.
Thank you very much

Right, I don't communicate very well, inflated was the wrong word. You pretty much said was I was TRYING to say.

Another little stat for you, if our defense holds the opposition to less than 72 points, we are 17-0.

You are dead on. I noticed it in the last game. He is drifting left on his shot and it is affecting him.

One more key stat...we are 18-0 in games in which we outscore our opposition.

I'm sorry but there is no way Chism shouldn't have a double double every night. He should score 9 points from the free throw line.

feeding Chism down low leads to good things.

That's the key. When they are working the ball around in the half court offense and finding high percentage shots--rather than jacking up quick threes--good things happen.
