Havent seen this posted. Interesting quote from A CSF site. Sour grapes?

Since Dave wants us to look at this as a business, let's take a look at the business of Cal State Fullerton baseball in recent years. This team has underachieved and become a collection of primmadonnas similar to the sequel of Major League when Ricky Vaughn put on a flashy suit, Willie “Mays” Hayes wanted to become a power hitter and the club signed a free-agent from Chicago who was more interested in himself, and not the team.

For sure it's sour grapes. Probably one of the same guys that was excited to get him back as head coach 4 years ago until he decided to come to greener pastures. Despite their history, CSF as a school in CA is going through hard times. They may not get back to the level where CDS had them because there is very little funding available to grow the program/facilities.

Thanks @parmejohn...They don't get any classier than the Murph....childhood and adulthood hero.

Scout.com: Change of the Board

I followed the site from start to finish of the search. The fans got progressively more bitter. I don't think it's all sour grapes.

The whole bit about underachieving is sort of backed by Serrano. He did say he and his wife don't usually sit at home and watch the Super Regionals, and that is an expectation for a program of that caliber. Some of the more neutral posters talked about the firing of a coach, a lack of interest late in the season, even saying Serrano had lost the team and was making them play "tight".

Now, the guy did average 40+ games and won the conference 3 out of four years I believe and went to the CWS in his second year. I think we'd all be pretty happy with that. I saw many posts where the fans said "We're spoiled." When I say more progressively, I mean, when they started looking at realistic candidates, and how long they might stay...well I might be bitter too.
