I wonder what the longer term outlook is for the 3/4 BR, 2.5 Bath structures will be in the next few decades. The 2,000 SF buildings that are all over West Knoxville. Does the surge to live downtown level off?

If it's less of the American Dream to own them, will they be viable as rentals?

Will Millenials grow tired of living that close to their neighbors in the downtown condos?

What's the procedure for neighborhoods to secede from the city? The Socialist Mayor Lady just wasted $150,000 to paint a mural. In an alley downtown that the homeless use as a restroom.

The higher standard deduction in the tax code removes a huge stimulus to own the typical middle class dwelling. I wonder if the typical neighborhood transforms into AirBNB daily rental areas? Look what Amazon since 2000 and Walmart since 1990 have done to the conventional retail landscape.

I wonder what will happen to all these million dollar plus McMansions in 50 years.

It is not the time to buy in my area. Prices and demand is very high. I am using the surge to upgrade my properties and push rents a little higher.
We have gotten so many letters about buying our house. One guy’s card said Veni Vidi Vendidi. I tossed that one in the trash immediately.

Property taxes will kill them off... except possibly in areas that are able to set up municipalities separate from the cities being run by politicians with no sense of financial responsibility. Like Farragut... but even they can't avoid the county taxes. Sequoyah Hills is subsidizing Downtown Knoxville and Knox County Schools.

thoughts on using a service to handle your properties vs doing it yourself?
