Iphone 6 vs. iphone 7

I never thought I would own an iphone, but they have the patent on the type of bluetooth most often used in hearing aids. So I need to get at least a 5 to work with my new devices.
Any ideas on which is "significantly" better. I mostly text, and phone, some internet, primarily maps.
I am thinking go ahead and get the 7 because I want something that will work with the aids for at least 3 years. The device manufacturers come out with a latest/greatest hearing aids about every other year and the phone requirement seems to go up a little each time.

Any thought, recommendations.

Not a lot of difference between 6S and 7 but you will get a years more worth of updates out of a 7.

I believe the 7 is the first iPhone to have NO headphone jack, if it matters to you. I think the 6 and 6s still had them.

The hearing aids communicate with the phone via Bluetooth so no need for headphone jack?????
I get them today so I hope to hear high sounds better soon. Wife"s loud talking cousin will be here tonight for Thanksgiving so I might be pulling them out or at least turning down the volume.
