Is anyone else having technical problems with this board?

I seem to be. Half the threads I click on take me to an error message and the reply button isn't working for me either. The quick reply button will work after two or three tries. Kind of surprised the new thread function is working fine.

Is it because so many people are on the board? It's funny because it's only happening on this board. All of the functions work fine for me on every other board but this one.

Anyone else?

No problems on my end. Server load shouldn't be an issue. If you continue to experience problems, post in the Help forum or send Freak a PM.

No problems that i am aware of. Everything is fine on my end and everything appears normal with the server. PM me and let me know what type of errors you are receiving.

Are you using Windows XP and Internet Explorer?

It's not a big deal. I will move it to the help forum though since no one else seems to be experiencing issues.

When I go to open a thread.....this message pops up. I seem to be able to open the threads I start and a few others.

Most of the threads go straight to this:

Skip over navigation Send Us Feedback Oops! We can't find the webpage you're looking for
Here are some suggestions:

Check the address for typing errors such as ww.example.com instead of Example Web Page
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's internet connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that your browser is permitted to access the Web.
OR
Try a Search

Hmmm. That's not even the VolNation error page that you are receiving. The next time this happens, copy and past the url and let me take a look at it.

Does the "send us feedback" have a link?

What's odd about it is the fact that the URL doesn't change. I think it's a function of AOL Explorer (I run on that). It's basically saying that the threads I click on don't exist and it's taking me to a generic AOL Explorer search engine that already has "vol nation" typed into the search. The "send us feedback" link is simply a survey on if the Internet Explorer search engine helped or not.

Ive been repairing and troubleshooting computers for 5 years and AOL is nothing but trouble.

If I were you I would run MSconfig and go to the startup tab and uncheck everything that is AOL related.

Then go and download firefox (did you know 90% of computer viruses are targeted at Internet explorer :geek:) It may take a couple of days to get used too but it tis awesome once you figure out the buttons.

Last week I had problems. It took about half a day and then I was able to get on here with no problems. I AM NOT a very savy computer person but it seemed like my computer had trouble identifying this site as valid or finding it altogether. No problems since though.

That's weird. Were you getting the same type of error messages as posted above? Do you also use AOL?

I will second this advice. In my experience, VolNation actually loads much faster with firefox.

Freak these are exactly the error messages I was receiving. I do use firefox. My error console said "Error in parsing value for property in 'color' "........ "Unknown property 'word wrap' "..............and "Expected color but found '#00000' " Hope this can help you Freak.:good!:

I'd love to have a screenshot of what you guys are seeing.

Which skin are you all using? I'd be interested to see if this could be an issue with a certain skin or it affects all of the different skins.

That day it would let me in to the home page but when I would click on to a particular thread it would disconnect and send me an error message. Sometimes it would not let me through at all.

Sounds like the exact same problem I was having. I clicked on some of the threads and it basically took me to a page saying that website (VolNation) didn't exist.


Thanks for all the help everyone. I'll try downloading FireFox.

vol_freak, it seems to be working better now. I can open some of those threads now that I couldn't open last night. I will post a screenshot the next time it happens.
