Told a friend yesterday we had less than a 5% chance of winning this game. Therefore, I'm not disappointed we lost, however, I was disappointed the way our offensive and defensive lines were manhandled for most of the game , especially defensive. Hopefully, we will play better in the trenches the next 4 games.
You are right. South Alabama may have been playing in a different class, but they played their hearts out to give a good acquittal of themselves. Because the other team is bigger and leaner doesn't mean you should shy away from tackling and blocking them. It was just sad at times. It's a sad commentary on the state of the program that it's expected to lose to Alabama and 35 point losses are considered OK by the fanbase.
Look....I get it. Alabama is much better. It is not an excuse for their offense to go through this defense like a knife through soft butter though.
But it's time for this fan base to grow a set of b-lls and expect better from the team.
