Not disappointed. Thought our kicking/punting was awesome, did well at pinning them back a few times.
I thought Worley played well most of the game. The thumb hindered him, but I've been proud of his general progress. I think even if Dobbs does well the remainder of this year, I think Worley still could start next year. I was impressed with Worley's wheels a few times this game.
I thought our running game was fair. We threw a lot more than I thought we would. I can't wait until we're able to achieve the balance that Bama has (51% running, 49% passing?)
Thought our WR's came up with some big plays, North especially. Croom had some good ones and Cody Blanc finally stumbled into existence for once. Still some costly drops, but it's a very young position.
OL blocked well, didn't see any sacks. There may have been some, but for the most part, the QB had time to throw, and holes were there.
Thought the D could have played better, but Bama is one of the best at really running a defense down and making them be out there for a while. They grind it out on offense.
Thought Dobbs stepped into a really harsh environment, and played as well as a Freshman QB could. I would have pooped myself to hear "Hey you're going in against Alabama, you know, the 2 time reigning National Champs that are poised to repeat? Strap up." Thought he made some good decisions, I thought the coaches turned him loose a little bit, let him throw it deep, let him run a few times. I am very optimistic about our QB situation. I'm also confident that Ferguson would have played just as well. I think he is going to be solid for us as well. Hate that we burned the redshirt, but I think it will work out well for us in the end.
Overall, proud. I know we got hammered. But we did score 10 in the second half, we did manage to get a touchdown on them, which, believe it or not, is a moral victory. It's pretty rare. And we managed to get some big plays. Didn't quit.
No matter what our record comes out to be, Team #117 is quickly becoming one of my favorites to watch.
