Not often do relief pitchers make the all star game unless they are closers, but what Arthur Rhodes has done this year has been nothing short of remarkable. He has a .33 ERA and a .67 WHIP. It would be a crime if he didn't make his first career All Star team this year.

Didn't realize he's only got a .33 era. And he's on my fantasy team. Oops.

Mark me down for yes.

Bump. Sir Arthur has now tied the Major League record for consecutive appearances with out giving up a run.

He's an All-Star, but i'm keeping him off my fantasy team, soon as I put him on there he got rocked by the Phils.

Released him the next day and he picked up the win last night, i'll just keep watching the Reds from a far and try not to jinx them anymore.

Surprised Cinci gave up the 9 spot to Philly with Utley and Polanco out.

I'm not sure he is an All-Star, he had a good run but there are other relievers that are having very good seasons as well.

His streak was tremendous though.

Name another reliever that has an ERA just a shade over 1, a BAA better than .164, and a WHIP under .091 that doesn't wear #42.

The All-Star Game is still a glorified popularity contest.

Rhodes deserves to be there.
